Read morePampa Kitchen & Grill is now one of our favourite restaurants to go to for a special occasion. This was our second time visiting and it did not disappoint!
We ordered some Empanadas filled with Argentine Beef, along with the Chorizo Mariposa, and some bread and Alioli. The portion sizes for the starters were superb, and the taste brought us back to eating traditional Argentinian food.
For our mains we shared the Ojo de Bife Ribeye cooked medium. We had a lovely cut of steak and it was cooked to perfection, the steak knife glided through the meat and the taste of the meat was exceptional.
We opted for some desserts after we requested a little break from our mains, and we went for some churros with dulce de leche and a crepe with ice cream. Both desserts were lovely and completed a wonderful birthday meal. We even got another scoop of ice cream with a candle with the staff singing happy birthday to me which was also very nice.
The staff here are superb. Nothing is too much of an ask and also speaking the native Spanish language helps I found!
Muchas gracias por todo y espero volver en el...
Read moreWe had been looking forward to trying Pampa's for such a long time. The reviews we had seen were all amazing and we thought we were in for a real treat. We got to the restaurant when it was fairly quiet and it got busy quite quickly which is always a good sign. The stairs to the 1st floor are incredibly steep, request a table downstairs of your prone to tripping. Now, the service was good but the food was a disappointment. Starters were average and the main was tastless. We had the sharer chateaubriand fillet steak and the meat itself was tender but it lacked any flavour. And the sides were basically oven chips and a bag of salad from the supermarket. All in all not worth the price. If this was a chain steak house restaurant charging half the price I'd give a 4 star review. But when you charge premium prices you need premium quality. I hope we got unlucky because you never want to leave a negative review on a family business but...
