Very disappointing to say the least. Pretty sure they did not get any of our order right. And what we actually we got was bland and I'm being kind. Where do I begin; stale poppadoms (seriously, how can you mess them up!) Chutney which I bet was outit of a jar, way too sweet. I ordered Chicken Saag but got good knows what, see pictures. We ordered pilau rice, see picture, err definitely not Pilau. My friends chicken Tikka masala looked like giant tomato threw up a pizza and didn't taste much better. I order red daal and yes look at the picture, jaundice in tin foil. Whatever I got (not Saag) was tasteless, how can you make spinach tasteless, that is an unwanted talent. If you wonder why we didn't bring it back, because we'd opened everything before we suspected we had the wrong order, our next mistake was trying to eat it. And it was all pretty pricey imo. In summary our garlic naan was ok. That speaks volumes.

We get takeaways from Spice Village regularly, best place around. We are a bit funny with eating chicken as have had bad experiences elsewhere but never had an issue here, everything is cooked perfectly. Tasty food, lovely friendly owners. Thank you again for the birthday message and bottle of coke this evening, much appreciated!

We ordered the butter chicken & prawn curry but it was very sweet and I couldn’t eat more than one spoon. I told the staff the butter chicken curry is too sweet but he said it’s the way they cook. I live in Singapore so I know the Indian food and it was not authentic at all.

Really tasty Indian food. We had the following items:

Mixed Starter

Plain Pappadoms

Mint Sauce

Mango Chutney

Garlic Coriander Nan

Pilaw Rice (Vegan)

Masala Dish - Chicken Passanda

Goan Chicken

Just shy of £44. Well worth it. My favourite Indian takeaway has always been Tarana's in Turners Hill but I'd say based on our first experience with Spice Village (and that it's five minutes from us) that it could very well compete for that gloried honour 😄😉.

The staff are professional. The food was very tasty and my ordering online experience was seamless.

Great job guys. You've got a...

Unfortunately a disappointing meal. Despite an extensive menu offering a multitude of chef and house recommendations, a serious lack of flavour and seasoning dominated our dishes. Paratha, a staple of side dishes, usually laminated with buttery fluffy goodness, was presented as a dense disc of dissatisfaction. When we questioned the staff, he simply squeezed it in his fingers a said it was cooked fine, despite it being raw. A great curry if you’re 5 pints in and need some sustenance; if you want a proper taste of India,...
