Worst customer service I have ever had…..

We were kicked out of this pub because the staff insisted our IDs were fake, and told we weren’t getting them back, though they couldn’t stick to one story about whose was supposedly “fake” (all of them were completely real).

Come to this pub if… • You’ve always dreamed of having your perfectly legal ID confiscated. • You enjoy being mocked for not having parents. • You find joy in having a door dramatically slammed in your face instead of receiving a simple apology.

My two friends (aged 24 and 25) and I came for a quiet drink. I had no issue showing my ID — at 24. However, the staff’s handling of the situation was anything but professional. Our IDs were held for over an hour, with staff changing their minds about which ones were supposedly “fake.” Instead of resolving the matter reasonably, we were kicked out, accompanied by comments that made it very clear the issue wasn’t just about IDs.

Sacha, the staff member in question, went out of her way to escalate things, suggesting we could “just buy a new ID” and scolding us for daring to “strut in,” which apparently is grounds for removal here. It was obvious from the start she didn’t like us, and she made sure we knew it.

We stood outside for over an hour while bystanders tried to intervene, only to be shouted at. Eventually, after it became undeniable that our IDs were legitimate, we got them back, still without an apology. When the landlord gently suggested one was appropriate, Sacha responded by slamming the door.

In short: If you’d enjoy feeling like a teenage delinquent on trial rather than a paying customer, this place is for you. But if you’re after a relaxed drink and even basic respect, you’re better off at any pub...

Awful. Confiscated ID’s of a group of 24-25 year old women. The ID’s all legitimate drivers licences held for 5+ years. No problem anywhere else with them. Attitude from the so called manager Sasha was very rude and hostile. She clearly does not enjoy serving women so maybe a job outside of hospitality could suit her better. A real shame as reviews look decent but definitely won’t be returning and I’d advise against a visit to anyone looking for a nice pub...
