The Old School Cafe — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

The guy serving was lovely but as a new customer I had no idea the service was as slow as it is. I wasn’t given any warning as it must be the norm here, but I was passing on my lunch break so I didn’t have a lot of time and did not expect for a ham and cheese toastie to take 40minutes. I would never expect to wait that long and having not been here before and made a very simple order, I feel like a warning should be given to customers that the food would take that long. I don’t want to leave a bad review but I just want people to be aware of how slow it is as I missed a work call due to what I thought would be a quick stop at a local cafe. Took a friend for lunch and order taken efficiently. However a lovely pot of tea was consumed before the lunch served. It took one hour for our jacket potatoes to be served. No update or apology until after 50 mins I asked were we overlooked as others arriving were served before us. The potato skin was blackened and was full of moisture.
