The Prince Albert — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

Under new management for the past 3 years and boy have they made some changes. Clean fresh feel when you walk in without killing any nostalgia. Greeted straight away and served immediately. The menu is to the point and none of these fancy descriptions as other pubs. However, the food does the talking. Good pub food at reasonable price. Local pub feel. We are leaving full and happy and looking forward to our next visit. I had 2 burger patties which had a smash burger feel. Dirty fries were out of this world with a generous lashing of Nacho cheese...

We are not eating often in the pubs or restaurants, as quality is below our expectations most of the times, but this pub serving EXCELLENT FOOD. I went for absolute classic (fish and chips), wife had sea bream. I have to say one of the best fish I ever had. They serve haddock on that day. Super fresh, not from frozen. Tasting like a fresh catch. We do fish seas, so I’m very picky on fish. Good selection of ales, too. Well...

On my initial view after spending 2hrs in the pub, I found the pub to have a very cold and uninviting atmosphere, I was pleased to leave. The service was slow, I have to say, considering they have had a refurb, it's hard to see what was spent for the amount rumoured... The time I went in was late afternoon, so maybe it gets better... But sadly, even at the same time, I have had a better experience in the pub...
