Top Diner — Restaurant in Milton Keynes

4 stars on service and atmosphere because it's a small business trying to make it against all the big chains. We are Americans so we ordered the American breakfast. The coffee was decent. No complaints. The eggs were good. Bacon was extra salty but that really could just be the kind of bacon. It was cut different than I am used to. The loss was the pancakes. They were pretty bad. I make them from scratch a lot so this is my interpretation. If they were from a box, not nearly enough liquid. If they were mixed up by hand, not nearly enough liquid and too much baking powder or baking soda. They were very small, very hard, very dry. I will call it just a bad day. There were a bunch of locals coming through so we aren't fully informed. The guy waiting on us was very nice. We won't likely be back because we were traveling and looking for a quick bite on our touristy visits. Fix the pancakes, the meal would have been very nice. I took my wife and baby here recently , however my wife who is an expert in all things bug saw two bed bugs on the floor..we couldn't believe it , we quickly left , the food was good though, great if you aren't fussed and fancy burger and chips ..but this experience really worried us and would really really recommend they check they don't have a bed bug infestation. The bugs could of potentially come off another customer but i would seriously be getting them to get a pest controller in to check ... But we did enjoy the meal and the man who served us was very very friendly and kind. Went to top diner with my wife went in my wife sat down while I went to the toilet I wish I never no toilet seat very little paper the sanitary bin was over flowing nice. I had a burger 🍔 where my wife had fish chips and whatever was ment to be salad the Fish was old and dry the one peice of lettuce had Seen better days the 🍅 well that was cut so thin you could see through it the chips where hard and where probably sat there for 30 minutes and I had to pay £10.50 for the pleasure I was not Amused I wish her son Tony was there I won't be eating or waisting my money any more go to greegs much better food will avoid top diner from now on..
