Domino's Pizza - Dorking — Restaurant in Mole Valley

Avoid avoid - poorly cooked food made me sick when pregnant and Domino’s refuse to accept any responsibility or offer any apology or refund!!

When we moved to Dorking a few years ago this Domino’s was one of the best we had used. Over the last year or so the quality has gone so downhill, with pizzas often being undercooked and soggy in the middle, toppings just piled onto the middle of the pizza meaning the cheese doesn’t cook properly.

A few times the wrong toppings have been put on and then picked off (evident from the few remaining crumbs of chicken on my otherwise vegetarian pizzas…).

The final straw was their pizza making me sick when I was heavily pregnant and then trying to sweep it under the carpet and deny all responsibility. The pizzas arrived in the usual quality, undercooked and sweaty cheese with toppings piled in one place preventing proper cooking.

Both mine and my husband’s were so underdone that they were inedible, so we had to heat them further in our oven, but even then they just tasted rank so we left the majority of them and just vowed not to use dominos again.

Both of us felt sick after eating them, and I was really unwell a few hours later. I filed a food safety complaint and emailed customer services separately. I told them I was heavily pregnant and that any stomach upsets could be dangerous at this stage so they really needed to take this seriously.

I completed their ridiculous food safety investigation paperwork and did everything required of me, was assured someone would be in touch, nearly a month later and after following up twice I’ve heard nothing. They have just swept it under the carpet and don’t care about upholding their standards or local reputation.

They have refused to offer any kind of refund whatsoever, and refused to accept any responsibility for the fact that the quality of their food was poor.

So fed up with Domino's Pizza! We only ever order from here as it's the only pizza place that will deliver to Boxhill but every time we are left waiting over an hour for our food. We have even had a comment from a driver that it takes so long because no one likes to drive up here. When doing our last order online my order disappeared after putting my card details in. I then called Dorking branch to check if it had gone through and was told it hadn't and to do it again. So after completing it a second time the same thing happened but just before I attempted it a third time the store called me to say my order had gone through twice and one would need to be refunded which would take 3-5 working days. After over a week of not receiving my refund I got hold of Head Office and they said I would receive a email or phone call from the franchisee and my refund will be on my account in a few days. Still no refund or contact. I then call head office yesterday to hear a automated message that all the advisors are in a team meeting until 4pm! I probably wouldn't be so annoyed if it was even worth the money in the first place but every order is wrong or missing something and it's so over priced! When ordering the Ardente it is suppose to come with Chilli oil but everytime I buy extra chilli they don't put the free one in (despite me mentioning it on the phone and complaining about it in the past). I've now been charged by my bank for being overdrawn because I'm £61.42 out of pocket! 😡 Called again today to be told all they can do is chase the Franchise company that run that branch for them to refund me. #dominosuk #useless #pizza...

Trash. Kids working there who clearly don't care or understand what good customer service is. So many times now they have forgotten things or not cared when they have made a mistake (happens more often than not). No trust left for the place.

We ordered a large pizza and paid for the stuffed crust and the pizza was the same size as the medium.. we paid more for the stuffed crust and the bigger pizza so why should that take away from the size of the actual middle? Doesn't usually and we have been regulars.. not anymore though, they do not deserve the business.

When we called about that and the fact that our garlic pizza bread had more tomato sauce than cheese on it, all they said was that the pizza was smaller because it was folded and with the garlic bread, we could have a new one if we sent ours back. So we had to wait another 25 mins for something THEY messed up on. No refund, appology or additional item offered. Awful customer service and terrible value for money!! It was for someone's birthday (which I stated on the phone) which made me even more upset about the situation as we have been using dominos for a while now and surely they could see from our records (if they care enough to put it down, how many times they have forgotten things etc.).

Do not recommend at all.

If you want a good pizza delivery place in Dorking, go to Crostinies! It's a family run business that actually cares about their customers. Better value for money (see Mega Meal) and more tasty in my opinion (only open in evenings though, try pizza express pick up...
