It's very rare that you can go to a restaurant and be completely 100% happy with everything as generally there's usually something that can be improved on without wanting to be unduly critical. That was our genuine experience at Turkuaz though. We were 100% satisfied with everything from start to finish. The staff are so organised and efficient but polite and friendly too. The decor in the restaurant is flawless and the food is absolutely excellent! We had the chicken Beyti which was delicious. There is a great selection of beers and wines and a good selection of alternative drinks for those who don't drink alcoholic drinks as well. The dessert that we had was lovely too. The toilets are impeccably clean and in excellent condition and order. The music is sophisticated and chilled as well. Turkuaz is like fine dining but without the price tag as the meals are excellent value for money. We would come back here again without any hesitation...

I went with my family and we ordered a range of food, including the calamari, garlic tiger prawns, mitite kofte, mixed grilled meat, charcoal lamb chops, kleptico and assortment of dips. Everyone had high praise for their own dishes (I personally can't comment as I'm veggie and they all had meat mains), saying the meat was tender, tasty, and the portions were generous. I had the calamari starter, which was cooked perfectly (not too rubbery, chewy or dry) and had a great seasoned batter. The prawn main was gorgeous - a good amount of prawns which had great garlic flavour, were also perfectly cooked, and even the chips were really tasty.
Can't recall which wines we ordered, but we had a red and a white Turkish wine which paired well and I really enjoyed. All in all a fantastic meal, and the staff were both friendly and helpful...
Read moreVisited Turkuaz with my partner for Valentine’s Day as it is her favourite cuisine (only due to me not having truly experienced it until today) and had a very enjoyable evening fuelled by very high quality food. The waitress was very knowledgeable on the allergens and the menu was very suitable for dairy free and gluten free requirements. We started with a range of cold and hot meze which were all outstanding including cacik and sucuk which were both incredible. I enjoyed a very flavourful lamb shank whereas my partner had what she described as “the best steak she’d ever had” which I also thought was considerably tender despite being on the rarer side than I’d usually aim for. We also decided to take away some baklava that we could enjoy when we returned home. We will most definitely be visiting this restaurant...
