If I could rate less than 1 star I would. I’m not sure how there are so many other good reviews for this place. First appearances were great: bustling outside and in. We visited end July and had to sit outside to mind our bikes, but there were wasps everywhere so we moved from table to table when one freed up. This we could kind of deal with had the rest been good. It started with placing the food order - the chap at the till was pretty miserable. Next, we waited approx 30 mins for 1 cooked breakfast and 1 sandwich (and they came out 10 mins apart!). The waitresses seemed to have no training: they wondered about the courtyard with food asking people if it was theirs, despite everyone having numbered spoons!? I had to shout out we had been waiting for that just to get it. The breakfast was ok (£12.50), but my partner said his gluten free avocado & egg sandwich was terrible and not worth the £10 at all. The people on the next table were complaining they’d waited just as long for 2 pieces of cake! One waitress tried to take my partners plate even though he was still eating off it - he had to guard it and say I’m still eating! Shocking. Couldn’t...

It was my first time visiting The Beaulieu Bakehouse today and I am already looking forward to returning. Booked a table for breakfast and although it was empty when we arrived, probably due to the rain, it quickly filled up so is worth doing. It is such a quirky, cosy place inside and we had a great spot in the window seat. I mainly chose to go as they had such an extensive breakfast menu, especially for vegetarians/vegans. I chose the veggie hash, (fried potatoes, spinach, peppers, onions, veggie sausage and eggs.) They were happy to switch up the fried eggs with scrambled and it was absolutely delicious. Couldn't fault it. I was also really impressed with drinks menu. Alongside the usual hot beverages, there was a huge selection of milkshakes, frappes and iced coffees, which were delicious. Only marked the service down one star as our drinks came out with the food, and would have been nice to get them a bit sooner, but it wasn't really a big deal. Can't wait to come and try the lunch menu next week. Would...

Based on the mostly great reviews, I can only assume we visited the Beaulieu Bakehouse on a bad day. We received incredibly gruff service when ordering two takeaway sandwiches, with my wife rudely being told “one order at a time please” despite saying she wanted the same as me. The man who served us must have also thought we were psychic after asking “crisps?” and presumably assuming we knew the flavours on offer, likewise “drinks?” followed by “over there” and pointing to the fridge in the corner. We weren’t told how long we’d have to wait upon paying. Instead, he took payment and then entered the kitchen and shouted “check on!” before sitting down at a table with his laptop. Our lunch eventually arrived and was nice enough, but there was no sauce in the fish finger sandwiches, nor we were given the option to have any. The meal deal with crisps and a drink was £8.50, and we later discovered that Pallets, where we later had an ice cream, offers a meal deal for £7, which includes the option of either...

I'd stopped at Beaulieu village for a bite to eat when I found this place and it well worth it. Its very tourist/cycle friendly with tables indoors and out. Food was very nice and came out very quickly with professional courteous staff. It's mainly snack food such as sandwiches and chips with lots of different options on the menu. I had a chicken club sandwich which tasted great along with sweet potato fries which definitely filled me up. There are soft cold drinks on the menu plus tea and coffee such as americano, cappuccino and latte alongside English breakfast tea. It's near the local shop as well if you need canned drinks, chocolate, or other items. Also where its in Beaulieu its near the local pub and hotel with good vehicle/cycle access to the rest of the forest. Also if you love your nature it's home to alot of the native new forest Birdlife with finches and blackbirds in the bushes/gardens near the restaurant I got a picture of one sitting on my table!.

We looked online for a nice place to have breakfast and this shop was in the first place We choose to come here also for their vegan menu and alternative milk which it has an extra cost of £0.50 We parked at the beaulieu car park and just in less than a minute we founded and we checked the menu. They have two coffe shops in the same road, one down the corner and the bake house. We ordered our breakfast inside and they gave us a number on a green glass bottle so we waited to be served outside We ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk, it came with chocolate flakes on the top, really nice and my husband ordered a cup of tea. The food came afterwards and it was really nice. We enjoyed being outside with all the tables around talking happily and sunbathing under the umbrellas. The waitress were doing a proper job and they treat clients very well. We recommend this place and this beautiful village and the little shops.

The coffee was absolutely exceptional. Perfect temperature, milk for the flat white was exactly as it should be, and the grated chocolate on top of the cappuccino made it really special. Now, I know my coffee and what's good/what's average, and The Beaulieu Bakehouse made excellent high quality coffee with all the fruity undertones and no burnt acidity. I tried some of my friends chocolate brownie which was rich, soft and full of flavour. Before we left, we had another cup of coffee each to take away. I'll definitely be riding back from London on my motorbike when I visit the New Forest again.
