Chesters — Restaurant in Newark and Sherwood

Wow,went to a wedding reception and what a rip off,I know what the couple paid and if 6 pre bought trays of sandwiches and 5 bowls of frozen chips is the sum off what you get for hundreds of pounds isbpar for course then I'm done with pubs,what a pretentious place this i s with well over priced drinks and will take your eyeballs out at the slightest chance,avoid at all costs,complete rip offs,...

We visited the Chesters for the first time on mother's day for sunday lunch ,The staff in the bar were welcoming and very helpful, the food was superb!!!! This was a great pub with an excellent resturant where you had to book at least 2 days in advance for weekends. We used to eat there quite often and take friends but no more. It had a refurbished function room which was very well used. Was very well patronised last time we went on a Sat night it had certainly gone down hill. What a change since change...
