Anarchy brew co hosts nowt special which is a local art event that takes place every few months. They offer live music from local djs, a show of all the local talent that event has to offer, different food venders on site offering street food that ranges from freshly baked pizza to doughnuts and other bits! On arriving you will see benches outside for people wanting to enjoy the sun. Indoors the place is decorated with local artworks and you are greeted by two of the staff who will be running the art table selling prints, stickers and other works. Toilets are on site and easy to access. Often tattooists will be on site working flash sheets. The bar itself has a large variety of drinks and the staff are beyond helpful when trying to choose. Alongside my band Boys of Brass we smashed out our first gig at this venue on Friday night. I would absolutely recommend it all round. Strictly speaking we were not punters on the lash of course, however the in house sound technician was spot on to work with and all the staff seemed pleased to be there! Not always the case when you're working! The food vendor traded well and of course the beers need no introduction. It is handily located just off Walkergate Metro or about a fifteen/twenty minute walk from Chillingham or Shields Road bus stops. Head down for a session...

Can't wait to revisit especially once restrictions ease. The beer is great with an excellent range- it's so good to taste it at source!
