My go-to place for fish and chips in the local area, the fish is always top notch, the batter is good and the chips are proper golden brown and thick. I don't know much about chips but they seem to be the kinda place that actually changes their oil once in a while. They aren't massively expensive either so if you just want some fish and chips to go I'd go here.
That being said because they are good and they fry on order if you stroll up during a peak period you could end up waiting a while. I've seen the staff racing about before to meet demand so calling up before you collect is a good idea. That being said most of the time I still just walk up and order - if it's not busy it's about five to ten minutes. The wait only applies if you're ordering fish or something the have to cook.

The two gentleman working that day noticed that we needed some help with the menu and happily gave us recommendations on what would be best for us (Americans) to order.
