The Bread Machine — Restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne

I don’t like leaving poor reviews...especially for a local business. But, I have to be honest & relect my experience with The Bread Machine. It’s the first time I’ve tried this place. Unfortunately, it will also be my last. My order was mostly for several different breakfast sandwiches. The buns weren’t buttered, the sausages were undercooked, the bacon was hard & overcooked, and my fried egg was hard & rubbery. No sunny side up, no runny yolk, just a tasteless egg thrown on top of hard bacon inside an unbuttered bun. The dog enjoyed it though! To be fair, the cup of tea was lovely, as was the Peach Melba cream cake. There’s no excuse for serving food like this to customers. The worst food I’ve ever tasted. If only I could upload a picture! Firstly the Bun was forgotten (least of our problems) the sausages actually looked and tasted like they were fake with a hard exterior and rubber middle. I can only guess they were days old, the egg was hard in middle and rubbery on the outside, my husband picked it up and hit the side of plate to show how stale it was and it more or less bounced. The bacon was so over cooked that it shattered into bits when I bit into it and the mushrooms were cold out of a tin. I daresent even feed the dog with it in fear she would choke. A like this place as it opens nice and early plus a can see it from my home so a look if open Al head down for my paper and a cuppa with bacon sandwich so okay but there's a place ware the blakelaw post office is in the same building a got a menu and really cheap never tried but will on Sunday for a dinner can't wait anyone been av checked the menu and then do everything so looking forward...
