Chip Stop — Restaurant in Newport

I honestly do not see how some think this is one of the best chippys in Newport I waited just under three hours for my order to be delivered and the only thing that was hot was the chips but the curry sauce you could peel off it was like skin the sausages I asked for large I was given two small I don't care about that but they were cold the saveloys were the same and split and dry at the end not even the dog would eat the bit I broke off I rung them and yea the bloke apologised but all he was saying was I'll sort it out I asked how and he said next time I order and I said no offence but why would I want to order again he said I can see u have ordered a few times yes that's right but timing is allways bad and the food cold but I like to give people a chance but tonight took the biscuit so no I won't be ordering again so now I'm out of pocket from food not...

Do not recommend. Ordered and paid for the food online for collection at 12:20 on 01/07/2024. Arrived for this time to a closed shop. Was then asked if we wanted the food today, obviously we did as that's when we ordered it. The oil hadn't even been heated up so had to wait for that before the food was even cooked. Concept: I decided last moment (since I finished work at 16:50) to join the Maundy Thursday gathering at St Stephen's for dinner (which was 18:30-20:00). Thus, I visited the nearest fish and chip shop for a takeaway food. Timing of visit: Thursday 28/03/2024, 18:15. Order: A cod and a small portion of chips. Price: £8.90.
