Greggs — Restaurant in Newport

Absolute joke of a Greggs. You have to go in to collect app orders when there’s a drive thru, what’s the actual point? Imagine a disabled person having to get out and walk in just because they can’t be arsed to pass you your meal through the window. I’ve got a baby seat and the car park is terrible for parking, hence why I pre ordered and hoped to be served in the drive thru. I said in the speaker I had ordered on the app, she made me say my whole order again just to tell me I had to go in to collect. There’s 6 people working behind the counter and they STILL hadn’t pre prepped my order for when I went in. 5 customers served behind me while I’m waiting. Surely the point of the app is to be faster? And 2 staff doing a stock check? At 1pm? In a lunch place? Makes absolutely 0 sense. No apology for the wait when the food was given either. Absolutely appalling service. The only plus side is the food is nice, but that’s obviously because it’s pre made😂 I worked in Wetherspoons kitchen serving all the customers by myself and I still could’ve gotten a steak or fish and chips meal out faster than...

We arrived at 11.05 and it took nearly 20 mins to get served. When we got there, we were behind about 6 cars so not a long que.

The staff seemed to be a bit confused with a few unable to wear their face masks correctly, over their mouth as opposed to on their chin maybe.

We ordered 4 sasage rolls, 2 steak bakes and 2 chicken bakes. The sasage rolls were 2 mins away and we waited at the final window for them, no wonder the que was so bad.

We got home and instead of the 2 chicken bakes we were give 2 sasage and bean. Clearly the staff need training on how to wear a face mask and how to identify their products. Worse Greggs I have been to and I have been to a lot...

Terrible service. Racist and rude. Becci is the lady who spoke to me at the drive thru. She was highly and highly rude. I and my family do not eat pork. I kindly asked for them to use a bag instead of the tongues which are sometimes used for pork although colour coded it's not used always as I've witnessed in shop. Becci said we use green for vegetarian and I said I understand but please can you use the bag and she dismissed me and said anything else so dismissive and rude I literally said no thanks and drove off I can rest assured I will not be returned EVER!!!! FOOD IS CROSS...
