Grill & Bake — Restaurant in Newport

Got a call like a pocket dial from the delivery driver. I called them back and they argued that they had delivered the food - they had not. They kept saying the wrong address so I am pretty confident it was delivered to the wrong place. Then I called the restaurant and had to explain 3 times that my address was not the address the driver was saying. At this point the food arrived. Order was wrong. Wrong kebabs no salad ( also did not look good). I rang the restaurant. They were rude. Did not apologise at any point. Some of my favourite bits include “ it is Friday and you live quite far away” - yes you choose your radius for delivery and I paid you money to deliver to this address. Also not sure that Friday means you make a mistake and don’t apologise. I had to explain a few times what was wrong. They offered to send me a different kebab as long as I give the incorrect kebab back - what they were going to do with a kebab that was now pushing 40 minutes old and had been on my plate I don’t know. I said this was not a solution as it would take too long. She then said that others had not acted like me on the phone and that she had offered me a solution. She then hung up on me. After all of that the food was terrible - funny how other places are able to make a decent kebab, deliver it and be polite all on a Friday. Restaurant told me to leave a review if I was unhappy so I am and I will get everyone I know to leave one too....

Absoulotly shocking !!!! No one should order from this slum !!! Me and my fiancée ordered pizza from here buy a 12 inch get a 9inch free ... food arrived we ate the 12 inch pizza too fulll to entertain the 9 inch !!! Approximately 30 minutes after we ate pizza felt very uncomfortable !!! Next thing I’m in the toilet being sick then my fiancé !! After hanging Out of the toilet for a while getting up the slop we just ate I decide to ring them as this isn’t right ... the response I get for grill and bake is (the receptionist) I wouldn’t eat from here but I’ll put you through top manager ... after discussion on phone nothing !! I then take it apon myself to go to the shop it’s self the response I receive is you look fine !! If there’s as a issue go to the hospital and get a report !!! For the sake of £12:70 I’m not sitting in A n E for hours !! Joke of a business foods disgusting staff are something else do not eat from this takeaway if you like to Stay diharea free !!!! #...

We have used Grill and Bake for years but after our last meal never again , pizza's burn't to a crisp and upon telephoning to complain told the same order would be free next time .... ordered the same meal again amongst other items and the girl taking the order said she could see it written down behind the counter and it wasn't a problem . We then received a call from a manager asking why it was free , who did i speak to + when did it happen ? It was free because of how badly burn't they were , he never told me his name and it was last Saturday ! He said they would be delivered shortly . The meal turned up minus the free 9" pizza that comes with any 12" pizza and the delivery guy couldn't get away quick enough . I again rang the shop and the girl told the manager there was no 9" pizza ... his reply ... only 1 free and wouldn't come to the phone ! Hence they were told we would never be using them again . Full marks for excellent customer service Grill...
