Good size carpark and its free Check in is at the bar then though the bar to get to the rooms The rooms are above the pub was shown to my room and then all info Unfortunately was told they weren't doing food that night, when asked if any places local was told a 40 min walk ! But I found a cool place ( tiny rebel) Room (6)was an ok size ,shower room was bigger but with a small corner shower Quite dated decor but I guess it adds to the charm of the pub ! Bed was comfortable WiFi good Shower was an electric one hot but not over powerful and when I stepped out the floor was flooded ! Location not much close by but a old canal which was lovely to run by Breakfast included but did me a takeaway sausage and bacon sandwich as always late for breakfast times ! Would probably stay again if in the area

About accommodation , Terrible experience. There was no heating at all, and it was freezing at night. A pub with live concerts is right below, so it’s extremely noisy — sleeping is almost impossible. There were no hygiene products provided, not even soap or shampoo, and only one towel for everything. Support doesn’t answer or help with anything, so don’t expect assistance if you have a problem. If you plan to stay here, bring a sleeping bag, your own towels, and hygiene products, and earplugs . Otherwise, you’ll regret it. Definitely not worth the price.

Nice little restaurant. As soon as we entered we was shown our table. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The menu is limited and only 2 Vegetarian options available. I had the vegetable curry and my mother had the chicken curry. Was nice with a little kick of spice. Then my mum had triffle and I had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. That was also nice but have tasted better else where but all together a nice little place to get together with family for a meal.

Having just been taken over by new management we thought it would be a good time to have a meal, however it was not really a good experience. I was grateful that they could accommodate my husband and I for Sunday lunch at short notice, however we were then crammed into a corner, and basically sat on other people's tables either side of us. The food came and although the gravy was tasty, the vegetables were obviously frozen and had been microwaved as they were swimming in water, the beef was dry and the roast potatoes and parsnips were too hard to cut. The cutlery was worse than useless, I was unable to cut through anything on the plate. When the waitress came to ask if everything was ok, I asked if they had a sharper knife, she said no and immediately walked away, please don't ask if you are not prepared to listen to your customers. I know they are still settling in and did have work going on, but if you cannot get it right now then it's not looking good moving forward. You may be better off not serving food until you are ready and then for the price charged you need to do a lot better on seating, service and...

Reasonable menu. Prices fair. My meal was disappointing. Had guests for lunch so this was terrible. The steak pie tasted ok but the pastry was not acceptable. The knife I was given couldn't cut better much less the dry flaky pastry. The cashier was very officious instructing me where to stand to be served in a very demanding tone. My Amex card was declined on wireless but was fine later in another location. When I suggested it would ve fine if I used the chip not wireless, I was told coldly that the machine was not the problem. I then used another card successfully. There was no thank you. I did not feel I was a valuable customer. Needless to say I left no gratuity and will certainly NOT return to this miserable establishment. There are many better pubs with friendly, appreciative staff where I will be respected and honoured...
