Decided to go to here with the family for news years eve. My daughter who is 20 is 10 weeks pregnant and vomitted when the food was brought out. The guy running it told us we had to leave even though we had cleaned up her sick ourselves and a lot of customers started on us for no reason! My daughter is extremely distressed over this. Completely out of order!!! Will never come back again. I am pretty sure his name was nick and he was very judgmental and acting in an unprofessional manor. We had chefs special, 2 lamb curry's half and half served with nan bread. £14.95 each. 99%sure frozen diced lamb mixed into a plain powdered curry sauce you add water to, rice was nice, so was the mango chutney, obviously from a jar, served with what tasted like the frozen skin on chips from Iceland a £1 a bag, served with a small nan cut in half and 3 slices of garlic bread because they had no more nan bread. Our grandson had fish fingers and chips, and boy he loves chips, but left the majority on his plate along with the fish fingers. Our bill came to £48 for food that was mostly left on our plates. The good thing about this pub is that it still is a pub and not a takeaway or restaurant etc. They keep a good pint of real ale. I am told the food is basic pub grub. I haven't tried it myself. The big drawback is that on times the pub is full of noisy children running around everywhere. The management seem reluctant to tell parents to keep their children under control The pub tries to be all things to all men and fails. The management need to decide what direction they are going in as you can't please everyone.
