Tin Can Pizza — Restaurant in Newport

DO NOT ORDER AND WASTE YOUR MONEY. The staff, inc the owner, Barry, are extremely unhelpful and rude. I got hung up on, lied to and they clearly did not want to look into my complaint. I'm all for supporting small businesses but not those who treat customers like they did with me. To food isn't that great anyway! We had the meatball pizza which was chewy and the chicken strips were bone dry. We wanted to give it another chance but after speaking to Barry, no chance!

The reply below from the owner wasn't there and would naturally defend Barry.

Your website isn't clear and the staff members I spoke to didn't have a clue. They said there's no charge under 3 miles. We live less than 3 miles. I called back to say that and the person said it was 1 mile and then hung up on me.

Like I said to Barry, the £2 charge doesn't bother me. I'm happy to pay it but when I'm spoke to, lied to (that Barry had just popped out and then miraculously available two seconds later) and hung up on when querying this is really out of order hence the review.

Barry was patronising and not helpful. Just because you know someone for 20 years doesn't mean they don't change. You weren't there during the conversation.

Also, as mentioned above, the pizza and chicken pieces weren't great the first time we ordered from you but thought we'd give you another go but definitely...

Was the first time using this vender, when typically I go for their neighbouring Tin Can Kitchen. My pizza, was delicious without a doubt would order again. The lack of stars was for the "gluten free" base pizza, which came out like a shop bought £1.99 pizza - foe the same price as mine, being £10-11. It was completely underwhelming for the price. It does state on their website its a personal sized pizza, but nothing about the pizza itself looked pleasing which was a shame. I felt let down by that option, and felt it could have offered more to gluten...

Had three large pizzas, chips and garlic bread. Would have taken pictures and posted them but the pizzas did not last long the kids loved them that much. The pigs in blankets pizza was amazing and the most popular with my kids. The herby chips were really good as well. I think they are actually better than the season fries at the TCK.
