Excellent Service from start to finish, wide range of drinks on offer & a broad menu to suit all needs, Lovely Decor & Stunning Food served, current Guidelines clearly visible & really friendly & relaxed atmosphere, Staff went that extra mile - only issue I saw was non-disabled people using the disabled parking spaces - will defiantly be going back when I return to Newport

A nice pub with a lovely Sunday roast. It's clean and tidy with indoor and outdoor seating areas. The staff are friendly and helpful and the meals are excellent. Well worth a visit although parking is not always easy. Child friendly for those with youngsters.

Great place to have a nice lunch, the food is nice, deserts fantastic, staff very friendly and amazing view from the garden. Highly recommended for families, too. The only downside is the limited number of parking lots, giving the location.

Polite staff and in section we were seated the tables were nicely presented. The staff tried to help out with individual meal needs. You can book a table. People eating steak said it was nice. Negatives are as follows- toilet floor in ladies was sticky wherever I walked. The hand dryer did not look nice so I did not want to put my hands in it. Otherwise the loos looked fine but cramped in cubicle so be aware if you have a disability as I don't know if they have disabled facility. We were seated on a table that was too small for our party so when plates arrived I felt enclosed & could not wait for them to be cleared.

Chips were so thin that they were greasy. Chicken burger was cheap looking. As a suggestion I would say putting salad inside the roll would be good. I could not finish the meal as I felt queasy. Would not go back unfortunately simply because of the points raised. Personal niggle is that stark white walls were a little cold. Cream would have been a bit more pleasant but that's a personal thing to me. I hope that important points raised about good food and the loo's can be dealt with as we would go back if they were. The meal was so inexpensive we all were...

Very disappointing visit to The Greyhound. Took the family to celebrate father in laws birthday. Husband ordered the special T-bone asked for it rare, it arrived over cooked, we sent it back, as it was a special piece of steak that should have been cooked correctly. This wasnt accepted, two different waitresses brought it back saying the chef says its rare, and "What did we want to do?" we sent it back again as it was not rare. My husband said he didnt want anything else, appetite had gone by this stage, we werent prepared to argue over a meal. Then the chef arrives with the tbone to tell us it IS rare and then starts pulling it apart at the table!! Felt like we had been transported back to the 70's! When chefs couldnt accept what the customer said! What were we supposed to say to that? "Oh yes chef, you are right I'll eat now you have ripped it apart with your fingers!" That behaviour put the rest of us off our substandard meals. We asked for a refund on the tbone, which was given, we asked for our birthday cake back and left to go home. Spoilt celebrations, waste of money....

Went there on September 20th to remember my wife's birthday with her family. She died last year. On arrival I ordered a steak only to be told Sunday lunch only. "okay then I'll have a plate of beef and mixed green vegetables and no peas". Ten minutes later a full Sunday lunch appears at my table, Roast potatoes, boiled potatoes and the holy grail of high carb food (I don't eat carbs at all) Yorkshire pudding as well as peas I specifically didn't ask for. I then asked for a plate to remove everything from my plate that I didn't want and in all fairness that's the one thing they did get right, a bear plate! That left me with three slices of overcooked dry beef and some cabbage. The final nail in the coffin lid was 55 minutes into our lunch they asked us to leave as they had another booking for that table! I'll never set foot in the...
