As a Travel Agent I’m always on the look out for things to do and see and places to eat so I can recommend them to my clients.
We visited Blue Groove in Croyde for lunch today and had the Thai Spiced Mussels and they were incredible.. and a cheeky Pimms, definitely glad we tried this lovely Restaurant in Croyde.
This restaurant is walk-in first come first serve and it didn’t take long for us to be seated (I would say about a 10 min wait), they seems short staffed but all the staff were helpful and friendly.
If have included their Menu and parking prices wig a parking lot which is situated right next too the restaurant… there is also a lovely green if you want too relax. I also noticed there was a beach volleyball court and a skatepark (not sure if they cost money).

Read moreVisited a few times, really nice venue. Modern interior and great selection of dishes, their brunch menu is top knotch. Recently visited last weekend as a group of four, seated quickly and warned of a wait on food due to business which was fine. A couple of downsides, there doesn't seen to be any one person serving you, more like any staff available so it was difficult to address when we were waiting on coffees for ages who to speak to. Also, regarding coffees, the price list is pretty expensive - £3.45 for a latte and add on 30p for oat milk - I'd pay less in the trendiest of cafes in Bristol where they are better- that being said the latte was nice enough. Lastly I ordered a scrambled egg breakfast with some add on items for £1.40 a pop, one of which was tomatoes (plural) and I got a half of a very small plum tomato which was incredibly measly. I raised it with what seemed to be the manager of the cafe on our way out as a point of feedback (we weren't asked how the breakfast was whilst eating) and he responded rather sarcastically "oh no" and then made a vague promise to give me lots of tomatoes next time I pop by- just a sorry would have done. Apart from that he was pleasant and...
Read moreWe were shown to our table promptly, that's were the positives stop. My son's pasta dish was very expensive for the pasta and jar sauce it was. His garlic bread was inedible and stale in my opinion. Our starter, the mixed sharer platter was just ok.
The adults food took over 20 minutes to arrive. My partners Thai green curry had no coconut milk in the sauce and was therefore exceptionally hot, watery and soup like. I thought I'd be safe and order the burger, what could go wrong with a burger in the West country right? Wrong! It was so processed it literally tasted and felt like cardboard mush in my mouth. The chips seemed fine until I came across a half eaten chip in my portion. At that point I stopped eating. After 10 minutes our waitress asked if everything was ok at which point I pointed out the faults of the meal and requested the table be cleared and bill be provided. She offered a 10% discount which we politely accepted and tipped her the difference, however, had I been in London I wouldn't have paid a penny and the managers head would have rolled. However, a lovely day on the beach was this companies...
