We have been a fan of this place since it opened but Finally had an opportunity to eat here again and without exception, everything was perfect. It was nice to be recognized by the owner who’s passion for great service and produce is second to none. The service is attentive and friendly throughout. We arrived an hour early, and we’re lucky to sit outside on a warm autumn evening we’re we enjoyed the best Espresso martinis we have ever tasted but wow they packed a punch!! We had several fresh oysters (even tho they weren’t on the menu) as an aperitif and we’re showed to our table early, the tempura oysters were outstanding and the scallops second to none. The menu is concise which I think is a game changer as even tho I’ll eat anything it pushes you to try things your wouldn’t ordinarily try as I. The ‘flat fish of the day’ which I wouldn’t usually order but I’m sooo glad I did as it was superb. My husband is a fillet man but again because the menu isn’t trying to cater for the masses they had Ribeye on, which he said was cooked beautifully and was extremely succulent. We even had pudding, which we never have but again the combinations and flavors were spectacular. I honest believe this place has a Michelin star in the waiting. A...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at New Coast Kitchen for my Birthday a couple of weeks ago and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness by the attentive staff. The décor is tastefully done, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere for a memorable dining experience.
Let's talk about the food – absolutely exceptional! It's evident that New Coast Kitchen takes immense pride in offering fresh and locally sourced ingredients. The menu's unique flavour combinations, crafted by the talented Martin Baylis and the kitchen team, truly set this place apart.
If you're in Croyde or the surrounding area, I highly recommend paying a visit to New Coast Kitchen. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a casual diner, or looking for a special place to celebrate an occasion, this restaurant has something for everyone.

Read moreArrived 8.31. Told they shut the kitchen at 8.30. Was quite surprised as it was a Saturday night. I objected as it was only 1 minute past the cut off, and they agreed to do me a takeaway.
I ordered a crispy fish taco and giant bulgar wheat salad. Paid around £8.50. When I got home, I was disappointed that the taco was tiny- one little piece of fish, and the taco was quite dry. Salad was plentiful although somewhat lacking in flavour. It was my first experience of this restaurant and I wanted it to be good. If felt like the rush to close up was probably motivated by a desire to cut staffing and energy costs- understandable in today’s climate but at what cost to the customer experience?
I’m guessing we can expect more of this from restaurants wanting to stay viable. It’s a shame as not all customers can manage a small evening service window. Across the road, the Work looked busy and I slightly wished I’d stopped there. However, I’ll know for next time that if I want to eat at West coast kitchen, it’s only a small window...
