Costa Coffee — Restaurant in North Devon

Been coming here yearly as Im in the area for just under 2 weeks a year. First 3 visits were great, with great service and speedy! But the last visit I had a rather rude encounter with the lady Ella. Asked/Ordered a mochacinno instead of a mocha which was fine from the man. then when preparing, I was asked if I wanted sprinkles which I didn't hear as it was loud in there and to confirm I asked for the mochachino? To which she replied rudely "there isn't such thing as a mochacino darling" in front of other customers with a very rude attitude which isn't professional and made me uncomfortable as I didn't want to make a fuss infront of others I just agreed with a mocha. Then she didnt even wait for me to leave to start her complaining to her colleague straight after. Just for your info Ella "Mocha is a coffee drink prepared with espresso shots, heated milk, and chocolate. On the other hand, mochaccino is a latte variation that includes chocolate in its making. Mocha offers more of a chocolatey flavour, whereas mochaccino offers a well-balanced taste of coffee and chocolate. Hi guys 👋. Wellllll, it's a Costa, what can I possibly tell you that you don't already know? The cakes are always awesomely tasty but the coffee varies in temperature a bit sometimes. Today was the 1st time since lockdown that I've had a Costa, so that felt a bit more special than usual, my only issue was that the track and trace poster stuck on all the tables didn't work, I had to go back to the till to find a working one, so that kinda let the side down in these Covid times! 🙁 Anyway, the food was good, company was nice and gave us both some chilled out time before the onslaught of shopping 😆 😜 Have a great day...

Staff were amazing, BUT, the tables were cluttered with previous visitors dirty cups and plates, the floor was filthy, the toilets filthy, the reason for this, only two staff, they were run ragged dealing with the queues for drinks, so not having time to clear and clean the tables, when one of the staff finally stopped serving to clear some tables the queue grew to the point people were walking away as it was taking to long , the poor guy left serving was disappearing up his behind having to serve and make the drinks, there needs to be a serious staffing...
