Since this place has been leased by new people, it has gone completely down hill. It use to be a lovely family pub where you could bring your kids along. Now, kids clearly are not welcome because of the treatment given to my child and I when we came to visit. My child has special needs, and to be treated the way we were by management was disgusting. The atmosphere is rubbish, there is no decent seating to watch sports. I will be boycotting this place in the future as I refuse to give money to anyone that makes me and my child feel unwelcome. This place will not last long unless the new people who are running it buck their ideas up! Saying that a child having a meltdown is doing your head in, and rudely telling us to basically get lost and being completely dismissive when I told you my child has special needs really is the cherry on top of the cake! Being horrible to a special needs child, instead of offering any kind of help to the situation truly reflects on what this place has become, and who these people are as a whole. A lot of people I have told this situation too are disgusted, and are also boycotting this place. The owner is being notified too, as he is a family friend. Oh, and if you require a service dog, don't bother coming here, because no dogs are allowed in during restaurant times, so anyone with a service dog won't be able to have a meal...
Read moreWent here for some lunch. I won't be coming back. I ordered the fish and chips when it came out it looked beautiful on first site fresh and fluffy batter. Unfortunately the fish inside the batter was obviously frozen. Inside it was like a watery mush and not nice at all. My colleague ordered a chicken curry which did not look or taste great at all. The sauce of the curry was like water and the chicken was that sparse it looked like the had picked it off of a drumstick and chucked it in the watery sauce was pretty much inedible. Granted we did not complain to the staff one because of the time restraint on our lunch break , and two we asked how our meals were before we had even taken a bite so had already said it was fine ,we were wrong it...
Read moreOur Son took us to the Wrey Arms on 13th March to celebrate our twin Grandchildren's 15th birthday. We had a surberb meal everything was cooked to perfection & the service from the bar tender/ waiter was excellent. Will definitely visit again. It's good to see a 'old' establishment have a new lease of life. I can remember when the Wrey Arms was, the place to go. My Brother had his wedding reception there 59 years ago, it was then classed as a posh venue!! Well done the new management team & hope you have a...
