The White Swan, Dronfield — Restaurant in North East Derbyshire

No didnt like this place wish we hadn't bothered, I thought the staff rude id only stepped in the door with my son behind me (out for a family meal 4 of us )I was greeted with dose he gave any ID 🤔 I didn't know you needed id to eat . We was then to to take a seat a young girl came over asked if we'd like a drink so we orded our drinks asked for a menu to be told they don't have them but they have a specials board .we thanked her and two of us when to look.in the mean time said waitress came back and asked for the cash for drinks (fullmprice)upon my husband asked if they weren't on off with this eat out thing her reply was yes if you are eating (really we'd just asked for a menu) so he told her we was eating in so she came back with her little pad NO DRINKS and we orded our food . Took at least another 10 mins before she came back with our drinks.there was only 6 people in the bar area our table made up four of those people. So if you like pie your OK xx But I will definitely not...

This pub used to be brilliant, went in tonight was waiting to be served for ten minutes as bar staff were talking to regulars,one of bar staff banged into my partner knocking a third of his pint out of his glass,when he asked if it could be topped up the landlord forceable grabbed his pint out of his hand,and told him to get out,I still had my drink which I left cos could not stand the rudeness of the landlord,he should not have a license to run a pub,I would advise people to not even contamplate going in such an establishment,very ignorant staff,and obviously looks after local...

Sadly, the pub is still festooned with TVs showing football. A proper pub? Or a poor man's sports bar? Great to have somewhere to go and watch the occasional big match; particularly rugby. But sadly, like under the previous management, it's like the place is lit up with unavoidable screens constantly showing football regardless that nobody is watching it. So distracting! Would be great to turn them off and just have some decent music playing in the background.

Otherwise, the beer is good and the pub itself is so much smarter than it used to be. Good...
