Hertfordshire's trendiest spot. The Story Batch52 is taking Baldock by force with its 'PlotRoasting' coffee, superbly tempered unordinary oat milk, beyond amazing cookies, and variety of savory items.

The owners have years of catering and hospitality experience, which is evident in every detail of their newly opened shop.

In-house baked goods and customer service that places you first. When the owners aren't charming their customers, they're opening the door for you, taking your feedback, and keeping everything shiny and beautiful. This sentiment extends to the staff, who are perfectly curated and clearly as passionate about food service as the owners, and they are a credit to the industry and to Baldock.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the chocolate chip banana bread, which we all spent lockdown perfecting, but the owner/baker just knocked it out of the park with this bad boy, wash it down with a flat white and you're halfway to Nirvana.

I can't wait to see what other treats they come up with, collabs and evening events and whatever else these talented individuals may offer.. I'm in.

But do you know what they've already introduced to the coffee scene in Baldock? A genuine sense of community and enthusiasm. Anyone can make coffee by combining hot milk and bean water, but there is dedication in every cup at Bach52, and if you care about coffee, cookies and compassion, you are traveling here for it.

For a savory treat, the smoked salmon and cream cheese on toast was a highlight. The fresh, vibrant ingredients came together beautifully, with the smoked salmon, greens, capers, and pickled onions creating a harmonious and flavorful dish. Another favorite was the plate of smoked salmon with grilled halloumi. The combination of the smoky salmon and the perfectly grilled halloumi, accompanied by fresh greens and a tangy sauce, made for a satisfying and healthy meal.

July 23 This place still is simply the best, added loads of photos especially if cakes and biscuits, none have disappointed, all so tasty and freshly baked. Add a nice iced latte, cup of English tea and just a real treat everytime. And staff always great as well
