Last weekend our family of four had the pleasure of dining at Eight and our experience was lovely. We were warmly greeted on arrival and immediately shown to our table within the cozy and inviting restaurant.
The menu had an excellent balance of dishes to choose from using locally sourced produce and caters to a broad range of dietary needs.
We opted for; Chorizo Croquettes followed by Fillet Steak; Chicken Liver Pate followed by Torbay Sole; Moules Marinière followed by Torbay Sole and Crispy Soft-Shell Crab followed by Torbay Sole. Our daughters then chose the Lemon posset and Affogato (Kinder gelato and baileys) for dessert.
Each dish was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and was delicious, with each bite bursting with flavour.
The team was discretely attentive throughout the meal and ensured we were well looked after.

Everything we ate was great!
The staff are friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely summer evening out and I canât...

On road parking in the evenings is unrestricted making accessibility to this little gem easy. Itâs a little, pretty, restaurant with few tables. Itâs a limited menu but food done to a good standard. The service was brilliant, all the girls are super attentive.
We both had the soft shell crab. It was mainly batter, and the main body of the crab wasnât a soft enough shell to eat.
For mains we had the duck with dauphinoise potatoes and creamed veg and the steak. The steak was so tender that you could have cut it with a butter knife.
Dessert of espresso crèmè brulèe and sticky toffee pudding were both delicious.
The free drink for our special occasion was a nice touch.
Three courses each for approx...
