Greggs — Restaurant in North Kesteven

Purchased two breakfast meals, total price £7.10, then used a drinks offer from the app in the same purchase.

Total price, £8.95….

Ask for a receipt, as the actual price of the breakfast meals hadn’t scrolled around whilst waiting, so figured, maybe the price had increased ??

Walked out to the car, ate my food, but checked the receipt is asked for to understand why the price seemed so high…

Seems the PDQ system gets confused when meal deals and rewards are combined together….

So I approached the staff and queried the price I’d paid, asked the current price for the meal deals… so £7.10 it should have been, not £8.95….

The reply from the staff member, well it’s not wrong, the receipt is correct, well I’m not a math expert, but even I can add up £3.55 x 2 as £7.10 not £8.95…..

Needless to say I wasn’t getting any resolve and the queue grew longer, whilst the member of staff refused to resolve the overcharge….

Customer services were more helpful, checking the app and confirming that there was indeed an issue and being disappointed that the shop staff failed to solve it….

So a £6 credit came my way with a promise to review the staff and PDQ system…..

So always check what you are actually paying for, get your receipt and don’t be fobbed off, a disappointing performance by the manager of the branch, who’s smugness at me returning to inform her about customer services, left me feeling if only you’d done your job in the first place…

Corona virus is a serious issue and I'm completely behind all the measures we need to put in place. However, I do feel it isn't a reason to forget common decency and manors when talking to customers. The young man at this Greggs just barked orders at me. Something like "wait there until the shop is clear". No please or thank you... I wouldn't mind so much if they were genuinely serious about social measures, the hand sanitizer at the doorway was empty... I just walked out and got a Costa from the petrol station. Very...

Worst greggs I have ever been to. The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in a week even down to the floors are covered in crumbs. The food was all stone cold, was told they had ran out of breakfast things (which I don’t believe and was more because they couldn’t be bothered) even though it was still in breakfast time. Sweet bakery bits were all like they had been out for days. Staff couldn’t give a damn about anything, couldn’t even remember your order and had to repeat it...
