Remarkably disappointing experience; my first and last visit. Visited in late May 2017 with wife and two children; booked a table online before-hand to ensure we could get a seat. Pitched up to a busy restaurant and stood inside the door waiting for over five minutes while the manager, Sal, searched for our booking which could not be found, amidst many tuts and sighs from her. Eventually as we approached the seven minute mark we were seated. On duty this evening was the manager, Sal, and two waitresses who were friendly but clearly run off their feet.
Having reviewed the menu I went to order and was stuck in the back of another long queue to which I overheard another woman and her two companions say "I give up" and leave entirely. Arrived at the top of the queue to order and once again dealt with Sal who continued to make us feel unwelcome with overall unfriendly demeanour and attitude (tuts, sighs, no warmth, thank you, etc); the pitcher which was prepared from her shortly after was about 3/4 full and I had to request it be filled correctly.
Upon ordering, the children's meals arrived out after 20 minutes but the steak was nowhere in sight by 45 minutes. Interactions at 45 minute and 55 minute point of waiting showed no sign of a steak which I again stressed should be cooked rare, as done at the time of ordering; you can see from the photo below that it was well done but at this point my disappointment was down with the dinosaurs, and given that complaints had achieved little that evening, we wrapped up and left after the meal.
Overall a long and hungry night with a poor steak and a manager sorely lacking in the most requisite of customer...

The bar staff told them to wait a minute. 10 minutes later they asked again and was told by male bar staff to wait a minute again he went on to serve some one else. Eventually Amy took them to a table but unfortunately the table wasn't suitable for your other customers safety they had risk assessed and moved table which Amy agreed to. The was another lady serving who made her views known that she was not happy about the move. The staff asked everybody else if their meal was fine but carers felt they were being completely ignored they also paid for an adults meal but she was served a child's portion.
I can excuse the first time my daughter was treated appallingly but this is her 4th visit with this behaviour towards her the last time she was turned away and got told to book a table despite the fact there was tables free. So they did this time but despite this her treatment wasn't any better. My daughter has a life limiting disease Sanfilippo syndrome and challenging behaviour she has an excuse for her, what are your staffs to wards her? If you are going to continue with this behaviour you might as well put a sign up saying disabilities ...

Booking was easy, and they accommodated a last minute change in time without complaint. An altogether lovely experience. Staff were friendly and professional. Food was served quickly despite them being busy. Menu was good. App is very good, and responded to very quickly. The only complaint I have is the table we were given - number 23 I think (The big round one). It wobbled loads until we 'fixed' it with a piece of card. A minor issue really. A word of advice to prospective customers. If you order the chip cob in loaf of bread, be prepared to be rolled out of the pub. It literally is a pile of chips and gravy in a whole loaf of bread! Thank you for making our visit so enjoyable, and I'm glad we gave the place a second chance.
