Disgraceful Service and Suspected Food Poisoning – Avoid at All Costs
This was by far the worst Subway experience I’ve ever had. The staff member seemed completely untrained, barely spoke English, and clearly had no idea what she was doing. She refused multiple basic requests including a dip that was clearly listed on the menu. When she finally gave it to me, she squirted the tiniest amount and said “that’s enough.” I had to push her to add more, and even then, it was still not sufficient.
I asked for both my sandwich and wrap to be heated, but she deliberately left the oven door open, and they came out stone cold and inedible (see photo). It genuinely felt like she was punishing me for asking for things I was entitled to. I was refused extra cheese, denied churros until I insisted, and even my valid app offer (buy one, get one free on a duo) was refused.
To make matters worse, after eating just two mouthfuls of the sandwich later on, I became ill and was unwell for two days with symptoms of food poisoning. I strongly suspect it was caused by the food from this visit.
I submitted a complaint to head office, but it has been completely ignored. Absolutely disgraceful from start to finish. I will never go back and I strongly urge others to...
Read moreThe second that served me was taking her hair out of my sandwhich right infront of me while she was making it. I said to the lady that she should wear a hairnet so that she didn’t have to pull hair out of my sandwhich, she just replied ‘yeah, that will be £6.89’…..
While the initial younger server that took my order was very lovely, she didn’t know prices of anything, and after offering the drinks from the machine, had to then apologize and say I could only get a bottled drink as the machine was broken.
I am more baffled that she was pulling hairs out of my food right infront of me, continued to serve it, and just said ‘yeah’ when I brought it up.
PLEASE have them wear hair nets!? Neither female staff member with long hair were and I’m pretty sure that the MOS whose hair was in my food, was actually training the...
Read moreI visited the Subway sandwich shop at Sleaford Services on Friday 2nd June and it was a most enjoyable experience. The Subway sandwich shop is on the same site as Travelodge Sleaford at the junction of the A15 and A17 just north of Sleaford. The Subway sandwich shop is inside the BP petrol station at Sleaford Services. I had a foot long grain wheat turkey salad sandwich and it was of top quality. I took my sandwich back to my room in the Travelodge Sleaford to eat. The Travelodge Sleaford, Subway sandwich shop Sleaford and the BP petrol station Sleaford are all on the same site. I would recommend a visit to the Subway sandwich shop...
