We went to The Swan several times during our recent week spent in Stalham. March 2022.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. On the initial visit we just had drinks. It is an Adnams pub and doesn't serve Guinness. However, the Adnams Blackshore is excellent ( and looks like Guinness).

We returned on 2 separate evenings to eat. The chilli con carne was excellent. A huge serving. The other half had the Bolognese which was also excellent. She chicken curry on the second visit.

The sticky toffee pudding was huge and floating in custard. Excellent.

The pub is very DOG FRIENDLY. The local drinkers were welcoming. Finally, the whole pub was clean and well presented.

A special thank you to NIAMH who was bartender, food server and a great front of house worker.

Well...

Lovely little pub with an excellent array of beers on hand pump. Food was generally good. We had a carbonara, which seemed to go down really well. I had a chicken Penang curry, which was disappointing as it seemed to be chunks of cooked chicken dropped into a pool of a pretty thin penang curry sauce. Still, it was edible and really good sized portion. Dessert was great, which led to a bit of forgiveness. Service was first rate: we'd been alerted to a vacant medical appointment about 10!mins before arriving, so we're on a tight schedule. Deserts appeared in short order and the bill had already been printed out and was waiting when I went to the bar to pay. I think we'll be trying them again,...

Lovely friendly owner very cheerful when we arrived sat us down, service was great to start off with, untill towards the end we finished our mains and wasn't asked if we would like deserts (we had heard him ask other tables as he took their main plates straight away) we had asked for another coke with a couple of straws (straws were forgotten, fair enough it's only a little thing) after waiting another 20 minutes we still were not asked if we would like any deserts so decided to ask for the bill and to pay this however was done immediately, wasn't the best impressed with service today along side the waiter seeming really moody, dispute all this the food...

We visited here on the last day of our Broads holiday. Lovely little pub that's dog friendly. I had a pork and apple burger that was delicious, it was perfect. Even the chips and garlic bread where delicious. My partner had the fish special which was beer battered plaice which was fresh and delicious. We tried each others food it was that good and they were both perfectly cooked. The food came out very quick, very hot and the portions were a good size. The friendly bloke behind the bar let me have a taster of some of the draught as I was asking about what was on tap. The two waitresses were accommodating and friendly. We both definitely want to return

On holiday in Sutton, went for evening meal with wife and dog, around 5.30 Monday. Were met as went in and sat at table of our choice in the bar area, and given menu's, plus advised 2 specials boards either side of bar. Had bottle of Adnams low alcohol ghost beer, and a Coke Zero, and the home made cheese & bacon burger, and 12oz Gammon steak . Both really good portions and we're very tasty. Would recommend and likely go back before end of week. Dog was made fuss of by waitresses too. All above for under £40

We have had dinner here a few times when we stay in Happisburgh, over the last two years. Last year the food was really nice, but this time we had the roast beef and it was disappointing. Pre cut slices of beef, no flavour, the potatoes were ok, the Yorkshire was very good. The burgers were really nice, I wish I had ordered these as the children had them and they looked really good. I'd go back, but not for a roast dinner.
