Oasis 2 Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in North Norfolk

We've used Oasis Stalham many times over the years. This time the food was late. After 75 minutes we rang and was told it was on its way. About 15 minutes later it arrived. The driver didn't know what time he collected it, but said if we had any problems we should tell the restaurant. Food was luke warm. Because we were very hungry by then, we decided to risk microwaving it. I rang the restaurant hoping for a sincere apology and some kind of small discount for the poor service. They blamed the driver at great length and said it wasn't their problem! This attitude made me so cross I insisted on a discount. They offered a free dish with my next order but I'm not sure if I want to use them again. Their next offer was a replacement meal but that would be 55 to 60 minutes longer so I explained for the umpteenth time that we were not prepared to wait any longer and because they were refusing to listen we now wanted a full discount. About 10 minutes later another employee rang and offered a replacement meal. I explained again that it was too late - by now it was 2 hours after we had ordered! He said for a full refund I had to drive into Stalham with the first lot of food! Instead, I am reviewing them. I'm the past they have been excellent. Tonight they were dreadful. Delivery problems are sometimes unavoidable; a poor response to a customer you have let down is avoidable and inexcusable. We decided to collect our take away as you were entitled to receive 10 % off if you did so. The food was ready as soon as we went to collect and the server was courteous and carried it to the door. We had 2 Murg makhni which were beautiful and creamy, very coconuty for what it was but we love coconut, a Dumba zardaloo.. The lamb was so nice and tender and moist and great and a korma which was pretty good as kormas go! We also had loads of Popadoms and dips and Nanns. The portions sizes were very good and there was plenty left over. The guy when ordering said we would only need 2 rice but we ordered 3 to be safe and used around 2.5. The main dishes were all great and weren't oily or greasy and the nans were good. We collected on a Tuesday (at 8pm) and when we collected there was Noone in the resturant and the man at the counter said there had been three earlier in the evening so. I'd assume week days are fantastic fast service. The prawn puree as started also went down a treat. We are on holiday in the area visiting and didn't expect much, but would gladly visit again should we drift...

Booked a table in advance (3 days before) for 5 people. Got there and was made to feel like we were inconviencing them and and was made to be squashed around a 4 person table. When asked if we could move to a bigger table we got told we couldn't due to it already being booked for a different group of 6 people and made to feel that we were out of order for asking bearing in mind we had booked 3 days in advance. Eventually they did add a small table to the four table. Then we were told we couldn't order starters but then watched two other tables after us order starters and get them to their table. Waited 30 mins to even get some poppodoms on the table after this. Then had to wait a further hour before we then got told that they couldn't remember our order and could we reorder? Wasn't very impressed and ending up settling up the payment for the poppodoms as at this point we had given up.
