Recently moved locally so we're slowly working our way round all the local cafes/pubs/restaurants. Café Charlotte is most definitely our favourite place so far. From the outside it's very deceiving and looks like it'll be quite small and dark, however once you step in its actually not dark or small at all. Its quite quirky, has an interesting layout with a really nice seating area in the garden aswell. All the waitresses were so lovely, very patient with our indecisive group and even agreed to make a drink that wasn't even on their menu, and a good job at it they did! The food was very well presented and extremely tasty, the bread must have been home made or local because the taste was like no other bread I've tasted before. There was life in the place but it wasn't too busy, it was just right. The Wee Wherryman's Breakfast was great. So was the jacket potato. Also enjoyed the scones. They have a nice selection of baked goods at the front and a nice toilet. Staff were also polite and service was speedy. Will be going back :)
Edit: Also, this cafe appears to be dog friendly as there were dogs there when...
