Had to wait an hour for delivery. Driver could not even change a £20 even though the bill was £13.50. I was given a very small light bag. When I opened it, I found the shallowest little container of curry about an inch deep. I didn't know you could buy them that shallow. I normally get madras with a couple of nan breads but on seeing how little curry I got, I thought I would be eating dry nan. I was wrong, as when I opened my lightweight nans, I discovered two bought in little flat breads about 6" across. These are for sale at Tesco and have never met a nan before. That is my first and last with this place. I ate everything but am going out for an Indian later tonight as I am starving. Go get a meal at any Indian takeaway and you will see what I mean. Your nan breads were flat breads and were tiny. Everything about this meal was tiny. As for not coming back??? Do you honestly think I am going to fight my way to your door again? I will get properly fed at any restaurant apart from yours. Yes, you did say it would be an hour and it was delivered then but that does not cover your long delivery time. I have ate Indians long before you were born and know that your watery sauce was more like gravy and your Nans were bought in flatbreads, no matter which supermarket they came from.. I notice that any bad reviews get told not to come back? That will not fix your problems. I do not need you to tell me not to come back. These meals are expensive and I expect a decent quantity. English people buying little flat breads is not an Indian meal. I am going out for an indian soon and will be eating full size nan breads made with yoghurt. You did not mention that you had no cash to give change. What if I did not have a card? Behave...
Read moreOrdered daal and rice, but it was far too salty. Mentioned it to the lady, and she gave some yoghurt which helped a bit, but I couldn’t finish the meal.
Tried to give feedback, but she wasn’t open to it and responded quite defensively. Won’t be coming back.
I’m genuinely disappointed by your response. I didn’t ask for a free meal, nor was that my intention. I simply shared honest feedback about my experience, which I believe every customer has a right to do.
I mentioned the issue during the meal, and yoghurt was provided, which I appreciated. I was able to manage a bit of the portion but couldn’t finish the full meal. I paid in full without complaint and only left a review to highlight the experience — not to receive anything in return. I believe feedback, when given politely, should be welcomed.
Wishing you all the best...
Read moreWe were totally delighted with our recent visit to Namaste Taste of India. We received a warm welcome and the owner instantly made us feel comfortable. What makes this lovely and homely place different from other Indian restaurants is certainly the food which is close to authentic Indian food and the fact that you can browse through all the different Indian products for sale. I was impressed when the owner spent time with us describing a few of those items and how they are hand picked and sourced from various places. There are so many nice artefacts and food items that you don't get to see in supermarkets. For all those who want to get a true flavour of India in a quick local visit, this place should definitely be on you to do list. It was a very homely and wonderful experience and we will certainly...
