Me and my brother we're lucky enough to stumble across this gem whilst wondering around the village. We were attending the Download Festival and as such were pretty muddy and wet. All the staff at the pub were immensely welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. They had a barbecue which was very cheap and a wide variety of drinks at very reasonable prices. They could have easily had hiked the prices up during the festival but decided to the complete opposite. I couldn't recommend this place enough. A small, friendly, genuine pub with nice people and helpful staff! A young blonde lady by the name of Holly I believe is often working when I go in, when she first started she was timid and couldn’t pour a pint to save her life! Toilets lovely and clean and an outside covered pool table and outside seating.
