The Red Lion is an old fashioned local pub. It serves a good selection of real ales, lager, cider, wine, and spirits. The staff are knowlegeble about the real ales that they sell and can help recommend beers based on the sort of beer that you like. There are a few different rooms to choose from. The bar has tradional wooden bar furniture with padded benches and small stools arranged around a few tables along with a few bar stools at the bar. The lounge has similar tables, benches, and stools but a bit comfier. There is also a smaller room that is usually a bit quieter than the other two that is good for families or for meeting up as a small group to talk. There are also other rooms that are often used by local groups to hold meetings or other larger events. The Red Lion also has outside seating in an enclosed area. There are the usual outdoor picnic tables and benches on a concrete area next to the side entrance to the building. Some of these tables are covered by a roof and have an outdoor heater placed next to them. There is also some seating on a grass area further away from the building. However, the small gravel car park separates the concrete and grass seating areas. The Red Lion also serves food. This pub has been my nearest pub for the past 3 years and I haven't had chance to give it the love it deserves. Always quick service, a great selection of real ales and I've never felt that it's 'a local pub for local people', if you get me?
They've recently had an outside area built which is fantastic, but on a number of occasions its felt a little like a creche as its (understandably) a good area for the kids to have a little more space. I get that, but if you want to enjoy your Dashingly Dark in peace sometimes inside is the only option, which is fine!
Pretty sure it has a real fire too, which is a bonus when it's cold! Though that could have been a really boring dream, so don't...

Very odd, not sure we would...
