Awaken — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

This was my favourite coffee shop in the whole of the north coast. I have recommended many times to friends and colleagues and taken family and friends here when visiting. Today was very disappointing. The staff were more concerned with having a laugh, one spilled my coffee after trying to put the wrong lid on the cup, never topped it up nor cleaned it up and handed me the dripping cup. Waited on my other drinks, got outside only to discover the order was wrong. Went back in, explained what was missing, no apology, still very busy playing jokes on each other. The corrected order was not good, and went in the bin. Disappointing that somewhere I always gave 5 stars to seems to have gone downhill. Not sure I'll give it another try. Poor service today.

Ordered coffee and 2 tray bakes at 14:25, tray bakes brought to the table at 14:28 and was told that the coffee machine filter was being cleaned and coffee would be a few minutes.

10 minutes past and still no coffee and no update. Went up to ask how much longer it was going to be, barista asked what we had ordered, barista then said machine is broken but should be working in 5 minutes.

Coffee arrived at 14:45 20 minutes after ordering and server set coffee down without even an apology or acknowledging that the was such a wait.

Communication and honesty is key when it comes to customer satisfaction, if we had of been told it will take 15-20 minutes I’d have been fine with that.

An apology would have been appreciated but server failed to do so, but has now left me questioning...

Staff serving customers at the table with their mask around their chin!!! Breathing over customers food that they are carrying to the table, talking over sitted customers. Totally unacceptable, no respect for themselves and less for their customers. With regard to the restaurant itself, the food and most of the staff I would have liked to have given more stars. By the way our food was served with a waitress wearing a mask. Our table was cleared by a waiter with mask around chin. When we was him approach our table we swiftly put our masks on and I made him fully aware that the mask around his chin was of zero protection to...
