Love this place. Unique selling point is its open until 10pm 7 days a week.
Customer Service varies massively depending which staff member you get.
On my last visit I witnessed a server clear tables but not bother to wipe the food residue from the surfaces. Not great, to think tables may not be sanitised as a standard, if server can't be bothered to wipe food residue.
Lately they have been promoting hot specials on social media which are misleading. For example the beef pot pie does not get served with mashed potatoes and winter veg like the picture on Facebook. When I queried my missing accompaniments, I was told it was inside the pie. Well then, change the pic on social media.
I also have a personal bug bear that they store their fresh scones uncovered on top of a glass cabinet at head height within inches of mouths/noses of queuing customers. Eeeugh. Yet that same glass cabinet hygienically protects the vast array of baked goods for sale.

Read moreWith Covid lockdown restrictions in place many coffee shops and eating establishments are offering a reduced service with limited choices that are easy to prepare, production line style. At Culture Coffee the exact opposite is happening! On entering the premise the exceptional customer service from Rhiannon is more than refreshing. Fantastic to see someone who enjoys her job and interacting with customers. A full menu is on offer and even making adjustments to the menu was very customer focused, with a let's make this happen type attitude, nothing was an issue. I never thought it was possible to eat a meal from a box on a park bench and enjoy it so much... The attention to detail, presentation (yes even in a to~go box!) And perfectly cooked food was outstanding work courtesy of James the chef. If you are in the Portstewart area and wondering where to eat this is the place... You won't be...

When we finally got a table we had to go queue to order at the counter and it was a tight squeeze. It was a long wait and an even longer wait for the food. It was very understaffed. They were nice but too busy so lots of the tables were dirty and not cleared so we had to wait to get someone to help. They did their best. I ordered a large culture fry with tea. My cup was dirty and there were white bits floating in the milk..it was probably just from the machine but it put me off. We had a long wait for the food but the breakfast was really nice. They do hash brown balls which...
