Coast — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

As a loyal and regular customer of this restaurant it was the obvious choice to enjoy my birthday celebrations here along with my family and friends. It is with true regret that this would prove to be the last meal I will ever endure in the Ramore Portrush. The service was at best absent, uncoordinated and lacking any resemblance of hospitality! After waiting 30 minutes to place our order we enjoyed a further 50 minutes before our three main courses were presented. This would almost be acceptable if the restaurant was at full capacity, however, it was scarcely populated with only a handful of similarily unsatisfied looking customers. After mains were finished we managed to apprehend a member of staff to clear our table and request a dessert menu. A further 30 minutes was observed before any such list was provided, during which time we approached the bar to request desserts only to be told to return to our table and await 'service'. We perservered for a further 30 minutes with the naive hope that a dessert order could be placed, but unfortunately no one returned to our table. No stars!! Went for dinner in Coast a few weeks ago, honestly the most dirty place I’ve been in. Arrived early and got seated fine. Waitress took our drink order straight away , went downhill rapidly from then. One waitress was sneezing and coughing the whole time we were there. She was rubbing her nose with her hands and then serving food without washing her hands. She was in the kitchen at one point holding a large tray of food and sneezed all over it and another waitress took the tray and served it to a table. Girl was coughing over people while taking orders and serving food also. She was clearly that ill she should have been sent home. She served the table next to us drinks and one of the men actually lifted the glass with napkins and poured their drinks into other glasses they had been using. We would have spoke to someone about if but we ate our food and sat for ages waiting on a member of staff but no one came, we never got anyone for extra drinks during meal either. We went to the bar and the guy on the door finally came to ask us if we needed to pay. I did try to contact the restaurant to speak to the manager but they never answered the phone. Would not recommend. Went for a meal not for a virus....

We thought this spot was going to be great, but alas, it was really disappointing. The ordering system is different, which is not a bad thing,But if not run properly, can lead to it being frustrating. You get seated at a table then menus are handed to you. You are told your table number and need to order from the bar or dedicated area. Unfortunately the bar was busy, and the dedicated area had no one there for about 5-10min. The positive side of the place was that there prices were very reasonable. The food on the other hand. Was disappointing. The pizza we ordered was soggy on the bottom, and the rest of the food was just OK. We went to use the bathrooms before our food arrived and they were NOT hygienic at all. The soap dispenser had no soap, which we reported to the host, after eating we headed back to wash hands and use the facilities before leaving. The soap dispenser was still empty and one of the toilets was blocked up. That was our experience, hence the rating was...
