Upon arrival we had been told 45 minutes for a table for two which was fine, took 90mins and we only got a table when I raised the point we had been waiting so long and could see several tables for two empty. Drink orders took forever when they got them right, and the food order that came to our table was wrong twice! On the third attempt they finally got it right (45 mins after we had been seated) food was fine, just an average portion not what you would expect for the price. Shakin (chilli) beef with chips and mayo dip came to £26!! and with a gin at £6.50 plus your mixer it was far from reasonably priced! Overall we left pretty f**ked off and even the complimentary cocktail vouchers that was offered wasn't enough to keep us there any longer. Waiting staff and management overhaul long overdue. Been dining at the harbour complex restaurants for years and after the past few very disappointing visits I can honestly say my family and I won't be back in any of them. UPDATED REVIEW: Been a few times since my last review as i had been told it had improved and was as good as it used to be, had to give it another go!! I have to say the food quality was excellent again, on each visit everything was beautiful and the quick reliable service has returned, back to the way it should be. The price point also seemed to be much better and the large portions made for much better value. Great to see things have been turned around, long may it continue.

This is normally my go to place. I’ve moved away and haven’t been in a few years. Came to enjoy some food and drinks with my family for a catch up. Upstairs was freezing. We ordered drinks which were FULLLL of ice. It was ridiculous. We got 4 in total and I’d say the liquid combined by the 4 drinks wouldn’t fill a half pint glass. We ordered food and it came out at different times so only one of us could eat as we didn’t want it to go cold waiting on the other food. We also had no cutlery or napkins so asked for these when the food arrived. We waited so long I actually walked to the bar and found my own. I don’t think I’ll be back. Put less ice in your cocktails and stop robbing people. (The photos are of my drink finished, it was filled over the top of the glass).

I'm glad we had shared a starter (duck pancakes, yummm) otherwise we would have left unfulfilled. For £15.95, I didn't expect a slice of chicken that was as flat as it was. It was cooked beautifully may I add and the sauce was delicious but there was more mash than anything (and I was told there was no mash so I asked for noodles, but then it came with mash!). Given a 3 as the food to me was overpriced, still had an enjoyable time with my family even if the neck of a coke bottle was spilled down my right side, in my hair and in between my legs by the waitress lol ... something told me to bring a change of clothes today, accidents happen, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, good view of the harbour, just felt we didn't get what we paid for unfortunately.

To give this establishment 1 star it's not even worth that,a party of 8 people attended last evening we booked a table for 6.30pm,we were shown our table given the menu and we ordered food my friend and myself ordered a sharing starter of a prawn dish when it arrived it was a plate full of prawn crackers with 10 medium sized prawns sat in the prawn crackers .. photo to follow it was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen dried up prawns ..my friend was still eating the starter when her main dish was served to her ..there was no salt or pepper on the table and when our only male gentleman requested salt he never did get it ....3 of us had ordered the sticky beef with rice some with chips the presentation left a lot to be disired not one of the 3 resembled each other and not in the same dishes mine was in like a wok with a handle . next one of the couples ordered a small desert also my friend ordered a small cheesecake when they arrived they were all on the same plate 🤔I complained to the manager about the awful service our stater dishes were still on the table when we paid the bill out bill came to £268 for the most disgusting food ..we were asked if we would like a complimentary drink on the house so 8 cocktails at,£11 each ment we recouped something back. The disgusting prawn starter cost £22 the sticky beef was £16.95 and the rice £3.50 a price not to be sniffed at ...needless to say we won't ever be back ..it took 25 minutes to get the...

DONT ORDER A GUINESS OR COCKTAIL! Booked a table for 2 for earlier on in the week for food and drinks. About 15 minutes before leaving to go to Neprune and Prawn, we were told we can't go there due to the weather as it was outdoor only. Which was fair enough. Instead we were sent to the rooftop bar of the harbour bar and offered a soaking wet table and weren't told we couldn't order food until looking like a fool trying to order food. So after a few drinks we went home. Later on in the week , Neptune and Prawn was open again inside and it wasn't any better, if not worse. At £6 for a pint, you'd atleast expect it made properly, the head on the pint was bigger than my forehead. Why I didnt send it back, I don't know. This was the first thing to go wrong that night. Then after paying £15 for chicken and pitta, the food was delivered out in about 5 minutes which is a bit concerning as it means it hasn't been made fresh. So during a pandemic it probably means the food has just been sat on the side. Neptune and Prawn used to be class, where high quality food and drink could be ordered at an understandable price. Now it's an over priced fast food restaurant. Can safely say I won't be back and I'd been a customer at the ramore bars for a long time and always had a great time so disappointed to see it like this. 55 Degrees North, Kraken bar and Kiwis are the place to...
