Educational , great experience for all especially for children all ages (a learning curve to all who visit (Portrush Coastal Zone ) All exhibits well displayed awareness of all sea inhabitants . The guide was extremely knowledgeable when children were asking questions about the various species about the environment in which they were maintained. No entry fee which surprised us or donation box inside to those who may wish to offer a donation to the Coastal Zone in providing so much info in this awesome coastal area 🐟

The coastal scenery is magnificent, with its mixture of long sandy beaches and limestone cliffs with caves & arches....great for walks & exploring. The town itself is a busy popular venue with plenty of good eateries with welcoming helpful staff when you wish to rest from your exertions and relax with a refreshing drink & tasty meal. On this visit we found the Ramore to be a very popular spot with delicious food.

Just a beautiful, inspiring part of our island. Breathtaking scenery, great walks and a history dating from even before Game of Thrones, lol. Something for everyone, gamers, a funfair, bikers and I'm led to believe there's a golf course nearby!

During our visit to the Portrush Coastal Zone, my family and I had a wonderful time exploring the marine educational area and learning about the fascinating world beneath the waves. Overall, our experience was highly enjoyable, and we left with a newfound appreciation for marine life. While there were a few areas for improvement, we still found the Coastal Zone to be an enriching experience.

The aquariums showcased a decent variety of fish and crustaceans, allowing us to observe and admire the beauty of these underwater creatures. However, we couldn't help but wish for a greater diversity of species. It would have been even more captivating to see a wider range of fish and crustaceans represented, enhancing the overall educational value and creating a more immersive experience.

Additionally, while the aquariums were visually appealing, we felt that more biological information about the fish and crustaceans could have been provided. Understanding the unique characteristics, habitats, and behaviors of the marine life on display would have deepened our understanding and appreciation of each species. Including informative plaques or interactive displays near the aquariums could greatly enhance the educational aspect of the Coastal Zone.

Despite these suggestions for improvement, the Portrush Coastal Zone still offered a valuable and educational experience. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, eager to answer our questions and share interesting facts about the marine life. We were particularly impressed by the interactive touch tanks, which allowed us to get up close and personal with some of the marine creatures. It was a joy to feel the rough texture of a sea star and witness the gentle movements of a hermit crab.

Furthermore, the Coastal Zone's dedication to promoting marine conservation and environmental awareness was commendable. The exhibits and displays highlighted the importance of protecting our oceans and the delicate balance of marine ecosystems. We left with a renewed commitment to being responsible stewards of the environment.

In conclusion, the Portrush Coastal Zone is a worthwhile marine educational area that provides an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. While we felt that the aquariums could have showcased a greater variety of fish and crustaceans, as well as offered more in-depth biological information, the overall educational value and dedication to marine conservation were evident. With some expansion and enhancement, the Coastal Zone has the potential to become an even more captivating and informative...

A really great little spot for kids and adults to find more info about local sea life! Had a few animals to see like a ray, lobsters, crabs and fish as well as lots of info on shells, shark eggs, fossils etc. lovely staff had all the time in the world to talk to us and really enjoyed it. Also a list of local sea life spotted nearby so handy for booking tours or organising your own spotting from the many beaches nearby. We spent about an hour here enjoying the info, videos and displays. Great for a rainy day too when...
