KFC Ballymena - Larne Road Link — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

The first time I have ever left a review on a “restaurant” or food takeout place.

We had our lunch at 4.00pm on Saturday 8th October in the Ballymena branch.

I actually feel dirty leavjng the place, we even had to take the child out of the toilets changing to change her in the vehicle. The toilets had been used for rolling cigarettes/dope.

The floors and tables were filthy and it there seemed to be about four staff standing behind the counter with one actually doing anything. It was all over the place. As we placed the first item on our order, there must have been a till malfunction and instead of somebody explaining this to us. The young lad and some other fella stood back and leaned against the counter until the issue seemed to rectify itself. I wanted to leave at this point but my partner said because we had partially ordered, we will stay. There was two lines of people about seven deep at this point waiting to order and waiting to collect their order.

It was after the meal we went to change the child and well decided to change her in the car.

The young staff that were working the desk had no leadership, no direction and overall it seemed no clue.

The food here is of a good standard. It's in line with the standard and quality of other KFC's. The premises, though, are atrocious. The drive thru is too tight to navigate properly, and when you approach the order speaker, you are on a tight right-hand corner, and to see the menu, you need to pass the speaker. In short, the drive thru lane is not suitable for the average car size. In addition to this, the physical appearance of the building is very poor. It's very run down and dirty. I genuinely do not believe that the manager or franchise owner looks at this place from the view of a new customer to see what they would think when visiting it. Outside the property, there are considerable civil works going on to build a new road and open up the junction adjacent to the KFC, and as such, getting in and out of the KFC has become a bit too much hassle, this has led me to go elsewhere a few times recently. The road outside, on the dual carriageway, is in terrible shape and I'm sure it is damaging people's cars. All in all, if there was another KFC locally, I'd go there. I had incredibly disappointing experiences with KFC Ballymena.

Firstly, I ordered a 10 piece family bucket from KFC Ballymena. However, upon arriving home, I discovered that they had only given me a 6 piece bucket. This is not the first time I have encountered this issue, as my previous order was also missing two portions of chips. This recurring error in fulfilling customer orders is simply unacceptable and reflects very poorly on KFC Ballymena's competence and attention to detail.

Beyond the consistent mistake in order fulfillment, the service at KFC Ballymena was truly disappointing. The staff seemed completely disinterested in their work.The overall experience left me feeling incredibly frustrated and dissatisfied.

As a customer, it is disheartening to encounter such poor service and recurring errors. It is a basic expectation that the correct items are provided and that the staff exhibits a level of professionalism and customer care. Regrettably, KFC Ballymena failed to meet these...
