New Mandarin House — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

We went to New Mandarin House Portadown for our Friday evening dinner. The sit down restaurant was very quiet however the carry out meals were going ding dust. We arrived at 6.45pm, our order was taken promptly but our started didn't arrive until 7.15pm. The places were taken away at around 7.25 and at 7.45 we decided to leave after only having a jug of water and our starter. We watched a lady order a carry out meal around 25 minutes after we ordered our sit in meal and when she received her meal before ours we left only paying for our starter and 1 beer my wife had. I would never recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone after sitting for almost 1 hour in a cold outdated restaurant. Surely sit in patrons should be served before carry out customers as they are paying extra for the sit in service. The manager came out from wherever she was hiding to say our main meal was ready but I refused to accept it and paid for what we had and left. at the beginning, the Chinese lady who was standing at the reception shouted at the waitress that we turned up the heater, which was standing on the floor, at the table. the food was too salty, the vegetables were hard, the nuts were not cooked as if they had just been taken out of a package (ordered chicken cashew nuts). the spring rolls were very poorly made, only cabbage inside (3 spring rolls for 6.95... a nightmare). coffee, a small cup, for over 5 pounds. the price was like for food in a 4-star hotel. Visited on a Thursday night and the restaurant was very busy. Was originally going to go for Chinese food but they had 19oz sizzling sirloin steaks on the menu and my wife and I couldn't resist. So glad we did as the steaks were massive and very tender, apparently from Knox's butcher next door, which I wouldn't doubt due to the quality.
