Palomo Cafe & Bistro — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Terrible experience. We went here today for my baby shower. My friends had brought cake for me. After eating lunch the kind waitress asked us if we wanted a knife and some plates for our cake of which we said yes. As we where cutting the cake the owner approached us and said I'm sorry but we are changing our policy not to allow anyone to bring cake into the cafe. He said if it isn't purchased from the cafe then it cant be ate but he did of course inform us that he had lots of pastries to choose from if we wanted to purchase something. I've never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. I most definitely will not be back. I didn't even want to give one star for this horrible experience....

Down to Lurgan for the first time today, googled somewhere to eat and am beyond pleased we picked here.

Absolutely fantastic service, exceptional food. Got the French toast and fruit with bacon. Was UNBELIEVABLE. Will definitely be driving through Lurgan again just to stop by. 5* Even give me a little box for some scraps for my dogs. Plus I obviously had to have one of the HUGE tray bakes lol 😂 it was outstanding. Seen the Sandwiches coming from the kitchen and will be trying next time as they looked fantastic.

Not pram friendly or child friendly!! Very disappointed with the attitude of the owner. Felt like a burden from the moment I came through the door. We had literally just finished our eating our food and the owner walked over and asked could we pay our bill so we could be on our way. I then seen someone I knew so was saying a quick hello and he then shouted over "come on ahead" and nodded his head to the till. This has put me off coming back which is sad because the food is lovely and waiter staff...
