The Cookery Nook — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

I had pre booked an order 1 day before and confirmed my time of collection for 10:30am. The lady who took the order informed me that it would be ready by 09:30am. They also asked me to pay the whole amount in advance as it was a customized order for which I did. The next day when I reached the bakery to collect my order at 10:30, they said that the order hadn't arrived from the factory yet. Initially they said it should be on its way and would reach in 10 mins. I patiently waited for 30min and no sign of anyone. The manager of the bakery seemed to be least bothered. I enquired again to the front house girl about any updates and she kept saying another 10min. I had to reach for my event at 11am. The store manager kept dealing with other customers and just ignored me. 45 min passed and no signs... How can someone be so rude and irresponsible... I approached the manager and asked for a refund for which she arrogantly replied we cannot refund for customized orders. She wouldn't take any responsibility for her employee's mistake. It was only me who was affected, lost my time and money. After an hour of waiting the delivery man came with the order. One of the girls packed my order and gave it to me. The manager didn't even bother to apologise for the delay.... The service is extremely poor... They were pretty good at asking a customer to pay for even before giving out an order which they couldn't provide at the right time. Had an extremely bad experience...

Order a cake weeks ago asked for it to be ready for 11am in the 1st of April, went to collect it at 11.30 and they hadn't even started to make it, explained i needed it asap as I had to be in ballycastle and have the house ready for a surprise party for 1.30, the woman leannes attitude was shocking her reply was wil go to asda , if i lwanted a cake from asda i would if went there in the 1st place.50 minutes later cake arrived and not even as much as a sorry. Costumer service was terrible...

All food behind the counter is cold. Served from a cold 'hot plate' and reheated in the microwave. Soup served from a cold soup pot, 1 ladel served in the smallest bowl, reheated in the microwave served spilled onto the plate making the roll soggy. Saw another man served a heaped bowl of stew which was all over the plate underneath as well. Heard another person complain about the food being microwaved. Not what I expected. Staff rolling their eyes and sighing...
