Incredible Irish Food & Kind Staff I've been staying in Ballycastle on holiday for over a month now, and The Diamond Bar + Steaks & Cakes is hands down my favorite place in town to eat and grab a drink! I've never eaten a meal there that wasn't delicious, with some of my favorites being the Steak Sandwich, Steak & Guinness Hot Pot, & seafood chowder. The staff is super friendly & professional, and the atmosphere is cozy! I love sitting by the fire and enjoying their wide wine selection (while my husband drinks a beer), followed by a delicious peanut butter brownie or slice of cheesecake. Don't leave town without enjoying this awesome spot right off the city square!

After being out all day walking 🚶 on the coastal path we needed feeding asap. Thank god for Google, 10 mins away and already good reviews, we rockup Sunday afternoon and the pub is chocka, lucky 🍀 for us they had a table for two ✌ spare for us. Staff were very helpful , friendly and welcoming. Drinks came right away, two soups to warm us up 👆 and two Beef Sunday roasts . Best Sunday dinner we have had in a long time ⌚. Thanks to all the staff.

We were recommended locally and went for dinner..the food was exceptional, possibly the best soup ive had, the chicken savoy was amazing.. If this wasnt good enough the level of service and friendliness from our server, Niamh was superb, a credit to your establishment, we finished with a Fine guiness by the fireside and the customers and bar staff were so welcoming...what a Gem..will be be back.

My wife and I live in Ballycastle (a beautiful town) and go for something to eat quite regularly @ The Diamond Bar. Atmosphere is friendly, really nice open fire, plenty of seating in the bar area (where you can also sit and eat if you choose). Restaurant is in the back which is a quieter area, again plenty of tables and seating. We have never been disappointed when eating here, staff are always super friendly, serving time has always been good and most importantly...the food has always been great! My personal favourite - Chicken Stack with Pepper Sauce and my Wife's favourite is the Scampi. I should also mention that my Wife is Pescatarian and there are several options for both here and full Vegetarians. We took my Father there for a meal on his 81st Birthday and he loved it, we also took a friend there who visited from England and he said his burger was the best he had ever had. Obviously cannot speak for anyone else but we rate The Diamond Bar very highly. Possibly the best in...

We were really disappointed with our visit. The atmosphere was extremely loud, which made it hard to enjoy our meal or even finish the bottle of wine we ordered. The staff were inattentive — we had to chase them down both to place our orders and later just to be able to pay. Service felt rushed and careless. One waitress even came to clear our starter dishes while we were still eating, which was very off-putting. Sides were put on our mains without asking what we wanted, and no one ever offered dessert or checked in during the meal. The food itself was below expectations. There is variety on the menu, but the taste was not great and we couldn’t finish much of what we ordered. Overall, it was a noisy, impersonal experience with poor service and disappointing food. Ballycastle has better options — we wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and enjoyable...
