Came here to catch up with some friends, have a drink and lunch. Firstly, I ordered refill coffee and raspberry lemonade using the app. After 15 minutes of waiting for a drink and coffee cup to be brought to our table I went to the bar to see where they were. As I went over I noticed the dispense bar person was getting my order ready so I went back to my table. Another 15 minutes passes and my drinks still hadn't arrived even though I saw them be made. Went back to the bar where my drinks were sitting on the side alongside loads of empty glasses. I ended up taking the drinks myself... The Food, also ordered by the app took 40 minutes to come out. I understand that norwich football was on so of course, would be a longer wait (I've also worked in this environment during a football shift). However, no staff came to our table to give us a heads up. When my food finally arrived my desert turned up first which was a warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream, which turned out to me a cold fudge cake and melted ice cream. My main came which was fish and chips. I ordered mushy peas and got garden peas. When I told the food runner about this she informed me that they had no mushy peas... she offered me beans but I just stuck to the peas. Would have been nice to have been told beforehand that they could only offer garden peas as this only takes 1 minute to run to the table and double check. The staff didn't seem to really care about customera and seemed stressed about the football shift, I'd suggest trying to hide this stress to make the customers comfortable and like things are running smoothly. Keep customers up to date with...

Update as I passed through the other day. Nothing has changed, everything is still completely mad, but inconsistently mad, which is actually quite good.

The Glass House is like a roulette wheel because you never, ever know what you're going to get.

It's consistently inconsistent but the staff are excellent and it's gargantuan layout somehow seems awkward to navigate.

The garden seems to get the sun for about 30 minutes a day somehow and always seems to be cold.

The bar is huge, but the queue always seems to be three deep.

Food arrives quickly but it's seldom what you ordered and sometimes this is good and sometimes this is bad.

Yesterday I got a lemon and herb chicken instead of a chargrilled chicken with gravy and mash and peas.

The mixture of flavours was particularly unique and one I'm only ever bound to encounter again at the glasshouse.

Still, the pints are cheap and the app works well and just about everyone in the world is here for ages, because no one can afford to session drink in any other pubs any more.

Notice how the food prices are creeping up though? If its going to serve 'cheap and cheerful, no-frills slush' then I'd like that to be reflected in the price.

Ā£14 for a lemon and herb and gravy and mash combo just isn't...

Really really good service brilliant place to go and have a sit in the sun and relax. Staying down here for the week and I have been using here for breakfast and evening meals as it is so close to alot of places and to where we are staying.

Staff are so friendly would like to mention Jess I believe she said she was called who brought our Meals over to us and then took the time to actually help our daughter and pushed her in closer to the table to save us from getting up and helping her so I would like her to get recognised for that as not many would do that fantastic part of your team.

The other lady on the bar was really.freindly aswell and couldn't be more helpful she was friendly and really helpful ā˜ŗļø and the waitress which I don't know her name but at the time was wearing a mask was also helpful and kind aswell the children thought she was nice šŸ‘ so you got a great team

All of the other staff couldn't do much more for you always asking if everything was ok so brilliant service guys.

Really clean and you can sit and relax we will definitely be...

Have I got a story to tell you… So I parked up and went to pay my Ā£3.20 but little did I know I only had Ā£3.15 in change and it didn’t give any change, so what did I do? I asked people for 5p and apparently nobody carries change these days even if they have a german whip. So I do the unforgivable and spend Ā£4 on parking. Anyhow, I sit here at ā€œThe Glass Houseā€, Norwich and I find myself spending Ā£3.20 on a new larger labelled at Ā£4. I am over the moon at the 80p I have redeemed back that is rightfully mine. I’m absolutely and completely flabbergasted. I’m so incredibly jubilant. Please support this small business, I love it with all my heart. Thank you to the wetherspoon family. Merci Beaucoup

The pub is within five minutes walk of the train station (just turn left, go down the slope, cross the road into the pedestrian area and keep going straight ahead). The member of staff who served me just didn’t have a clue – the beer my husband wanted wasn’t available – so she could not recommend another (her manager had to). The wine I asked for (on the menu) she didn’t know what it was (so had to ask the manager) … Apart from the staff member it was an enjoyable place to sit outside in the autumn sun. The food (chips and onion rings) arrived at our table literally as I returned with our drinks – hence the 3 star score.
