The store stood out in the street with its bright glaring lights and bright screens. As I went in the lights inside were even brighter, which was quite annoying I don't want to eat somewhere where the lights are ridiculously bright. It wasn't made obvious if there was any mobile or Kiosk ordering; which I prefer. From across the long hallway to the the tills a tall man beckoned us across. We were skeptical to move as we were rush to come up and order when we needed more time to view the menu before going up to order. A Kiosk or mobile app to help pick what we would like to order would have made the ordering progress much easier, but it seems they aren't available. It was difficult to hear the man over the loud rap music playing at full volume. We felt rushed to order when we didn't even know what the options were. As we wanted to try a few a few things we opted for the Full Flavour Fix. As the music was too loud and lights too bright and because of the general vibe of the place, we decided to get our order to takeaway. We were presented a receipt and a locator tent and asked to sit down. It wasn't a pleasant wait as the choice of music was bad, too loud and the lights way too bright. Whilst waiting I noticed their lift was out of order so people with mobility issues, would struggle to find a seat at peak business and would be unable to use the toilet at this restaurant. The wait time was around 10 minutes which is fine. But as a server picked up the bag to bring it over, instead of bringing it over straight away, with our food in hand they decided to chat with their colleagues. When the server decided to bring it over instead of just checking the order was ours they decided to perform an essay about what was in the bag, whilst our stomachs grumbled and she made us more eager to eat as she explained each item to us. When she finally handed the order we wasted no time in getting out of the uncomfortable restaurant, grabbing condiments on the way out.
Chicken was good chips tasted oddly sweet. For a sharer meal it felt small when divided by 2
If I was to have again would only have it delivered unless they decide to put some variety into the music played, Made the lights less bright and less white and if they introduced Kiosk or...
Read moreWhen I found out Wingstop offers boneless tenders, I was eager to give it a go and I’m so glad I did.
Huge shoutout to June (the hostess with the mostest) for walking me through how it all works, and to Autumn and Karl for helping me figure out what to order. The staff here genuinely want you to have a good experience, and it shows.
The food… wow. I would never have picked Mango Habanero myself, but it ended up being hands down my favourite. sweet, spicy, and full of flavour. I also tried Brazilian Citrus Pepper, Spicy Korean Q, and the Original, and every single one packed a punch. They’re proper, bold flavours.
The lemon pepper fries were another good shout, very tasty.
I also tried ranch sauce for the first time. Where has this been all my life?! Seriously, I get the hype now.
Inside looks great, modern and inviting, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Easily 5-star treatment from start to finish.
Only one minor critique is the sustainable forks. I totally support the effort, but after a bit, the tips softened and I had to grab replacements. Bit of a paper straw situation. That said, it didn’t take away from the experience.
Wingstop just became my new go-to, I hope Norwich is...
Read moreI was quite excited to try Wingstop now it has opened in my local city however I found it pretty undeewhelming sadly.
We were a party of 3 and ordered 24 wings, and 10 tenders, and two portions of chips.
Firstly, the chips were awful, very bland with large amounts of cajun or paprika added which made them even worse. They were very spicy, dry and bland all at the same time. The tenders were okay, but a bit generic, they are basically an overpriced Chicken Select from McDonald's with stock BBQ sauce added on top. The 24 wings, were not actually wings, despite asking for wings we recieved breaded chicken pieces. The flavours were quite generic.
There was a queue and was hard to find seating, the decor is quite bland inside. The staff are very friendly and the service was good and fairly fast considering how busy it was.
It is very overpriced, you'd be better off going out for a proper meal in a restaurant for similar money, or maybe a few pounds more.
Unfortunately, I cannot rate this food outlet anymore than 2 stars due to the fact I asked for 24 wings, and recieved zero, in a fast-food outlet which literally has 'wing' in...
