Went here for my daughter’s birthday. It was a Friday night around 7.45 and the place was dead. Only a couple of tables occupied. We stood in the door way waiting to be seated and the two members of staff 3ft away didn’t seem to acknowledge us for a while but eventually we were seated. We sat outside as it was a hot evening and at first we were content but the mood soon changed. After about 20 minutes the waitress took our drinks and food order but they had run out of a couple of the options which we were happy to change. Another 15-20 mins went by and we eventually got our drinks. Then we waited for another 20 mins and we received our starters which weren’t too exciting to look at but they were tasty. Just bread and dips. We stacked our plates neatly to the side and waited for our mains. 30 mins later the waitress comes over and says “ Are you ready for deserts or do you just want the bill”? I then told her that we hadn’t had our mains yet. She looked shocked and walked off.We were then told our food was now being cooked and the chefs were struggling with the new menu. It was just chicken skewers and chips and a Greek salad! When the waitress eventually brought us our food, roughly 20 mins later she put them on the table without asking anyone who ordered what. Just dump and run basically. Very little etiquette. My wife couldn’t contain her disappointment so she spoke out and said that it was rude too which the waitress responded quite unimpressed “Did you just say something”? We all then expressed our disappointment with the service and the waitress asked us if we wanted to speak to the manager. We agreed and she disappeared never to return. Eventually one of the chefs came out and at first she seemed quite blunt with us clearly she hadn’t been told the full story. I explained that I felt the waitress was a little rude and that we had waited a long time for our mains considering lack of customers. She then apologised and blamed the new menu but she said she would see what she could do. She never returned. I still hadn’t received my main yet. Eventually my main arrived. It was two sausages on a plate and a bowl of chips. Hardly difficult to cook and certainly not something that should have caused such a delay. The frustrating thing was that everyone else seemed to be getting served just fine. Clearly they had forgotten our mains, it wasn’t nothing to do with the new menu. By this time I’d lost my appetite and I struggled to eat even half of the meal. We then sat and waited to see if anyone would approach us but no one did. The restaurant was empty now. I then went to pay and to be fair the young member of staff behind the bar didn’t hesitate to offer us a discounted bill after I explained politely that we had not had a great experience. In fact she admitted that they had a lot of issues that day and I got the impression handing out discounts to unhappy customers had been a regular duty for her. She gave us a free meal worth £25 and dropped the service charge. She even offered to knock the drinks off but I declined as I think she had already been fair. The bill still came to £95 which was incredibly overpriced for the quantity and quality of the food. It was a disappointing evening overall and I would probably never return. It’s a shame because my daughter had been there before and had been very impressed hence the reason she booked us to...

Read moreBefore ordering we had absolutely no idea what we were doing We all decided just to go for it and ordered a few cold and a few hot meze per person We found this a little bit pricey as each dish was £6-£12 each They recommend you order 4 each and that was becoming a very expensive amount of small plates
After ordering we were served food no more than 3 minutes after ordering It turns out we were served the wrong food which was for another table We were even more confused as this was not what we had ordered and tried to get one of the staff members attention, they apologized and took the food straight to the table opposite us
The cold meze seemed fresh and there is an assortment of dips Some of us were still eating as the waiting staff brought over the hot meze The table was so crowded full of plates, people were still eating and the staff were trying to take the cold meze away which was strange However the hot meze were all very small for the prices, I had the lamb kebab which was nearly £9 and it was small and only had two pieces of pepper on the small skewer
Some of the people in our 6 person party had finished while other still ate and once again the plates and dishes were being taken away before everyone was done One of the staff members dropped a plate on my friends foot as she was trying to clear away, she didn't say anything but looked very embarrassed
This restaurant adds an optional 10% service fee to the bill which we thought was asking a lot for the service we received, at the bottom of the receipt it came to an extra £15 just in service fee. There were lots of staff members and the restaurant was very busy and loud The shift manager (we guessed) offered us two free desserts if we were all having desserts for no real reason, other than to convince us to order more. We didn't have dessert and decided to call it a night The bill was in total about £150 for 6 people and many of us were nowhere near full and...
