I've never been a big fan of Wagamama to be honest as I've always found the food to be so so, but I was craving katsu curry so I thought I'd give it a shot. Sadly, my rice was probably a little undercooked as it was a little hard (I ate about a quarter of it). My friend said hers was hard too the last time she tried it. She ordered some beef brisket ramen which had no mention on the menu that it was spicy. She had even told the waitress to not add chilli oil to it but the beef was surprisingly spicy. We ordered a stir fried mix veg which was definitely not worth £4 for its portion size. I added extra Japanese pickle and a tea stained egg, which by the way was bland and was only half stained! All in all I wouldn't rate the food and probably won't be returning. As for service, it started off well, however, towards the end of our meal, we were pretty much forgotten about. The waiter said he'd bring over the dessert menu but ended up chatting to his colleagues and only just remembered us when I waved at him. No one checked up on us to see if everything was ok either. Basically, it was difficult to get attention from the staff even though there were plenty of them. 2 other tables who came in after us had finished their meals and left before us! I think the only plus side to this meal was the dessert. I ordered a white chocolate matcha cheesecake. I loved the ice cream on top but I couldn't really taste much of the matcha. Also, food was served quick in general once we finally manage to get some attention.

Me and my wife went in today, queued for 20 minutes which is fine and were taken to our seats. I mentioned to the server we didn't have long and I gave him our orders, a katsu curry, drinks and a stater of squid and main of ginger chicken for me. Five mins in my wife's food arrvied, piping hot and she tucks in. 10 mins pass, 15, 20, 25 minutes have passed so I asked my server what's going on with my order to which he replies it should be with you soon. I said it shouldn't take 25 minutes to serve me a starter it's not even that busy, I'll just cancel my order. He says nothing. I sit down my wife continues to eat slowly, and 35 minutes later a manager I assumed and another guy bring me my food. I said don't worry I cancelled my order, to which they replied we had a problem with your dish so we remade it. No one told me, they just let me sit there for half an hour, no starter no main and that's why I'm leaving this one star review. If you're doing quality control to make sure foods going out at its best that's great do that. But let the customer know what's going on. Having to sit there that long without so much of a peep from anyone takes the piss.

Had a really lovely meal out with my partner, I was struggling to find a place that was accommodating of my autism. (Accessibility needs etc) and decided to give wagamamas a go. I had been in the past and enjoyed the food but this time I was absolutely blown away by the wonderful service from Lottie. Lottie was an absolute delight and no questions asked could tell I was having issues with the noise and found me a nice quiet corner for us to sit in. They were super patient and communicated everything to us very clearly in order to make the experience not a complete sensory nightmare. The food was fantastic and super quick we came around 5 so just before peak service so by the time to restaurant was full and busy I was more emotionally regulated and having a wonderful time. The food selection is great for people of all dietary requirements and the fact that the food just comes out when it’s ready gives a really nice casual low pressure eating style. Big love to Lottie who was nothing but an absolute diamond and made me feel so comfortable about me wearing my headphones and any food concerns I had. Thank you so much we will be back.

Went for dinner Saturday night (arrived 7.45pm) with my mum, sister and brother in law. We were seated promptly, and ordered our food almost as soon as we sat down. The waitress let us know that the food arrives in order of being ready which we were fine with. We were a party of 4, everyone ordered a starter and a main. This is when the issues started. The starters were arriving one by one. We were done with one starter before the next arrived. My mum, sister and brother in law all received their starters, then my brother in law's main arrived. I was still waiting for my starter (chilli squid) at which point I laughed they were probably out catching it hence why it was taking forever. My brother in law was half way through his main before my sister's brisket ramen arrived (food was luke warm, not hot- at this point it had been about 40 mins since we ordered, she was starving so ate as was) and my mum and I were still waiting for our mains. And my starter. At this point it was an hour since we had ordered. I hadn't actually realised how much time had passed at this point. There was no check in from the waiting staff to ensure we were happy with everything and had to flag down a member of staff to make them aware we were still missing food. At this point I was HANGRY, I hadn't eaten since 11am and drove about a lot so I was losing my patience. The waitress then said she'd go chase up the food, at which point I just wanted to go. We said we'd pay for the food we had and leave. At this point the manager appeared with the two bowls of missing gyoza ramen and gave us a lame excuse of there being miscommunication with the kitchen and something about them having to make the gyoza's from scratch. Which would've been an acceptable excuse had I still not been missing my squid starter. It was clearly very much a case of a missing ticket, having worked in the hospitality industry, I would advise for future reference that honesty is the best policy. The manager took the two mains and squid starter off our bill and offered a complimentary drink. At this point I inhaled my food which was very subpar for a wagamama's however I was starving and had waited over an hour for this meal so scoffed it down. We ended up leaving soon after still paying about £80 for our bill. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a Wagamama's and will not be returning to this branch. It is worth noting the restaurant was half full, there was plenty of staff mincing about so there was no reason someone couldn't have checked in to see if we were all satisfied....

I've only been here once before and it was good, but that was a few years ago. Going again it was very poor service. The first issue I had was the smoothie I ordered was room temperature and it was 30 degrees outside. So I found a waitress and asked If I could get a glass of ice. 10 minutes went by and no ice. I then had to go up and find someone else to ask for ice again. When my GF ordered food the waitress asked how she was with spicy food, she said not good and that she wouldn't like the chilli with her meal as she doesn't like hot food. But when they brought her meal out it had hot spices on it which they even wrote on this sheet in front of us it wouldn't include. Not only that but I ordered my food at the same time as her and yet it came 15 mins apart. I ordered a hot curry so didn't want to wait for mine to go cold before eating. We asked if they could remake the food as it was too spicy for her to eat. I also ordered a 2nd drink when they brought her food over which after 15 mins I still hadn't got so I had to find someone else to order it again. We were in the restaurant over an hour in total and not once did anyone come to check up on us to see if we wanted more drinks or if the food was okay and there were plenty of staff around and not many customers. I always expect a few mistakes or problems when I go out for food as nowhere is perfect but given how expensive the food is here I want the service to live up...
